Seems like basically nobody looks at these threads but I have nowhere else to say it:
Gabe's birthday inexplicably being a holiday is one of my favorite, running gags in the comic. In particular this is maybe a top 10 PA all time for me. There's something hilariously ominous to me about the Gabe balloon outside the window.
Hey man, not sure when I'll have another chance to say it, so I just wanted to say my best friend and I bonded in part over Penny Arcade and still love referencing the strips and other PA-related stuff frequently. For his birthday one year, I got him a print of one of our most-referenced strips, "He's Got Legs" (https://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2002/06/07/hes-got-legs). Every time we see a big bug, we say, "He's wearing my shoes!"
I think it's a rare achievement in comics in that it's a strip that is both perfectly written and perfectly visualized. One of my favorite jokes of all time. Thanks for all you guys do. <3
