Politics Upcoming election - council members without party affiliation listed

To see your exact ballot, use the sample ballot lookup at votetravis.gov (or wilcotx.gov/elections if you’re on the Williamson side).

What I want to know is what party do the candidates align to. It's not on the ballot, so I used AI to help build the table below. Please help affirm or correct their party.

Thirteen candidates on your ballot have no party label. All are in nonpartisan races: the appraisal district board, city council, and school board. Here is what public records and reporting show for each, from strongest evidence to weakest.

EDIT based on the information provided by others here

Here’s the updated table. Rows marked “you” reflect what you told me; I haven’t independently verified those.

- Rogers is very MAGA and is endorsed by the republican party in Travis County

- Oscar Mitchell is also endorsed by the R party

- Trent's signs and literature are being distributed by Rogers' team

- De Juana requested endorsement from the Pflugerville Dems and lost to Harrington (but your mention of charter school support is also true)

- Chevonne is Dem-aligned

It’s very disappointing that a MAGA person is using Mr Rogers imagery. It’s the antithesis of what he stood for.

And he literally sent out a text with some photo of himself supposedly protesting with Jesse Jackson when he was younger which seems really disingenuous (not even sure its real).  On top of that, he also sent out a video of Ceasar Ruiz, who is supposedly a Dem based on this list above, speaking about how he is pro-life/abortion is murder and how Pf needs more conservative values.   Not sure where the video was sourced from but definitely seems sketchy from both angles (if its real or fake).   Anybody know about if Ruiz is actually just masquerading as a Dem?   Seems like they could possibly both be trying to pull a fast one on voters.

Jean Mayer is an amazing school board trustee. Huge advocate and a real presence on campuses and the community.

Lamooooo David Rogers (probably) just sent me a text trying to claim Cezar Ruiz is a republican who vows to ban abortion and “end planned parenthood.”

As if any city councilperson worth a single damn would ever pretend to have that kind of power. Republicans are not only liars, they think we are really that stupid.

Lol

Just so some quick Google searches some of them are pretty easy to figure out. Rogers is very obvious.

vote all incumbents out of office.

That seems rather short-sighted.  If you've got some deeper understanding of why the incumbents arent fit and qualified for their role I've certainly got the time to read, but I think this city is being stewarded as best as possible.

We're one of the few cities that very quickly abolished our flock contract, we got through a water crisis relatively unscathed, even if we probably should have had more communication.

Road work repairs are getting done at a reasonable clip, even if I wish we were a bit more proactive about where the growth is happening.

All in all, I think our representation is phenomenal, but I don't know everything and I don't read everything so if there's something I should be knowledgeable about, I'm all ears.

No, it doesn’t. We’re living here today with the problems we have today because of the people who are in office now if we don’t make changes, then nothing will change.

Please stay on topic - just want their affiliation; put the opinions elsewhere, please.
