My God is the essence of absolute goodness. If you don't want a relationship with absolute goodness then that is your choice. He respects your choice. Why? Because he is absolute goodness.

I like what you said about Him being the “essence of absolute goodness” that gives me chills just thinking about it, meaning He’s good but He’s the best part of the good …..

Anything that has any goodness derives it from him.

If God is good, and his heaven is good, what would happen if he allows not so good people into His heaven?

Then it’s war in heaven i suppose.

Wouldn’t heaven cease to be good then?

Interesting use of the word "imperative". All except Christianity and Islam, most other religions and spiritual traditions (Wikipedia) that believe in a God don't consider it "imperative" that you agree with them. However even amongst those that follow Christianity and Islam most don't consider it "imperative" that you agree with them.

Therefore your position is only against those very few that strongly proselytize their faith. BUT you have written your question in a bad faith (Wikipedia) way to make it appear that ALL those that believe in a God consider it "imperative" that you agree with them.

As most will tell you, you are free to not believe in their God and that is basically what you are doing now. But some may point to Pascal's Wager (Wikipedia) who argue through the logic's of "probability" that believing in "God" is a smart bet, even if you cannot prove "God" exists. The simple break down of his argument goes something as follows:

  • If you believe in God and He is real: You gain infinite happiness and eternal life.
  • If you believe in God and He is fake: You lose very little (just a few lifestyle restrictions).
  • If you don't believe in God and He is real: You face infinite loss or punishment.
  • If you don't believe in God and He is fake: You gain a normal, finite life with no major reward.

I personally don't buy into Pascals Wager, and the interesting thing is his wager can be applied to any version of God. However, IF [IF] your answer is YES to the question "Do I want to exist again?" then you have inherited the problem that all the many religions and spiritual traditions grapple with and also existential philosophies as well. How you go about grappling with that problem of wanting to exist again is up to you.

I was speaking of those who insist that you agree with them, whether it be the jihadist or even a Christian, who will not come to the fact that I don't agree with them and agree to disagree. Thanks for your response

Fine. That is better stated that how you stated it before. In real life people are much more agreeable than on the internet where they have anonymity and therefore if things goes south just simply don't respond. But if they get aggressive you can either report them to the moderators or you can block them personally yourself.

Furthermore with the Christian that annoy you all you have to say to them is: Do as a Jesus instructed you in Matthew 10:14 "And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town". Basically telling his followers not to be annoying to others.
