If you could ask Zach and Rob anything, what would it be?

Would it be related to their discography? Writing process? Personal taste? It could be virtually anything, maybe someone else from the subreddit could answer your questions

I would love to ask Rob about 11/11 from Team Sleep. I have been obsessed with that song for 20 years, I’ve never met anybody who knows it and I would love to know anything about it. That’s the song that made me check out Rob and Pinback. It still gives me chills. It’s sublime. Was it a demo that Rob brought in or did he write it on the spot? Was it a Living Well throw away? What was the inspiration?

I was independently a fan of pinback and deftones so that song blew my world up. Still love it too.

I asked Rob Crow about the pictures from the self titled album, and he said that they were just from old photo albums that he thrifted iirc. Maybe the other pictures have similar stories?

Rob did a short Q&A in either Denver or Fort Collins (can't remember which) and I didn't, but I wanted to ask if he was aware of the connection between Pinback lyrics/song titles and the tv show Lost.

On the show, there's a character named Hurley and another named Rousseau. I used to have a longer list but that's all I can remember right now.

I just checked and it seems like lost came out in 2004 whereas s/t came out in 1999

It’s been speculated that a writer could’ve been influenced by Pinback rather than the other way around

Made a post about this a while back post. So, I think we have Rousseau, Hurley, "the others", Penelope (Penny), and Matthew Abaddon.

I'd love to ask zach about his practices and how he approaches composition. I have never seen anyone play a bass like him and as far as I've read, he's mostly an autodidact, so I'd love to learn more about how he handles the instrument, what sort of studies and techniques he has done through the years to broaden my own bass studies and practice

I would ask Rob what are his thoughts on Team Sleep? What was the experience working with them? Maybe future plans?

I would ask them to re-do and release there first three albums for vinyl (like Taylor'sversion). Since ace fu records guy has got them trapped on limbo. Edit correction first two s/t and blue screen life.

This 100x. By not doing this, they are making it worse for themselves.

why they speed up their songs so much live

I’ve heard the answer to this on a YouTube interview a while back! Rob and Zach think that the studio versions of their songs are very mellow and slow. So they speed them up to bring more energy to their shows. they just think it’s a better live experience, and from my experience seeing them I love the faster tempo

I may be out of the loop but I simply would like to know, why no new album since 2012?

I’d ask for book recommendation
