because no one's gonna connect to your slow less connected client. It's like going to the market in an alley far away from the city when you can go to the nearest walmart

My download speed is 230mbps and my upload speed is 16mbps.

Can you explain me how does this client system work. Cauz i never selected any client when downloading? I am totally new to this stuff

most private trackers are gonna be flooded with 10gig+ seedboxes, most traffic is heavily automated for new content and its usually all finished very quickly.

16mbps is tiny.

genuinely curious how you dont have access to more than a 16mbps service in 2026, doesnt starlink have like near universal coverage at this point?

my previous ISP capped our upload speeds to ~15mbps, which was effectively 10mbps with wifi and their shitty router that loved to crap out all the time. This was 2026 in the US, not even a rural town

tbh the walmart analogy is perfect lol, nobody's driving out of their way for that

Seedboxes are all in the Netherlands basically all in the same datacentre or thereabouts so they get priority seeding and plus they all have gbit/10gbit lines. They will seed to other people who are all downloading using seedboxes as well since they are geographically nearby and have high bandwidth.

If you are on a private tracker investigate how to farm bonus points to boost your upload instead. This is usually based upon seedtime and seeding size and seeder count on torrents.

Contrary to what the name suggests, bonus points are something that your account will usually be entirely relying on if you don't own a seedbox and they are calculated in a way that they are accessible to obtain and you will still be able to download without having uploaded anything as long as you keep seeding. Private trackers without bonus points are designed to be difficult to survive on without a seedbox unless you are uploading content or exploiting freeleech torrents like a hawk or cross seeding.

If you are using a private tracker you will never seed with a mobile client, they are banned on every private tracker I know.

Wrong. I use my Moto with Flud on 4 separate private trackers I'm on maybe find some trackers not lost in 2008

Then you are very lucky or the trackers are very lax.

  1. no leechers to download from your slow upload bandwidth during that 1h time
  2. connection/port issues.
  3. other (tracker may have banned/limited you)

first of all is there a specific reason you want to seed or it's just to help other people?

Set up port forwarding in your client and VPN. Without it, other peers cant initiate connections to you.
