DISCUSSION Recs for data structures 2
Hey guys, so I am planning on taking DS 2 next semester, and the options are Dr. Khattab, Dr. Farnan, and Dr. Nixon. Who would you guys recommend as the best of the three? Thanks!

I personally took Dr. Farnan, and that class is definitely challenging, but he is a very good lecturer. I knew people who took sometimes up to 30-40 hours on homework/projects, but the bright side is that with Dr. Farnan, you are going to learn a lot… because you are more or less forced into a situation where you need to.
That said, I have heard about Khattab having some ridiculous exams in the past (but easier homework by comparison to Dr. Farnan). However, I never took him, so I can’t say exactly for sure to what extent this is the case.
I also can’t speak on Nixon, unfortunately.
No matter who you choose, it’s a pretty tough class. Just lock-in and you will be okay regardless of your choice. Good luck!

Just giving my experience, took Khattab, overall super nice guy but not great at explaining the concepts. He gives lots of extra credit towards the end of the semester. Most of my friends have taken Farnan and have heard good things abt his teaching. Never heard of Nixon lol
