Potentially Triggering Content I’m appalled

How a mother I once knew , feels so unfamiliar, unknown
How a father I once knew feels stranger than the concept that dragons seemed to have existed in this earth
I try lord do I try to beg show how much I care how much .. I’m tryin to fix their lives
Yet they see it as defiance rebel
For a moment of quiet , how they let go of everything that once used to dear
Is there no hope ? Really ?
My mind has accepted yet somehow my heart keeps on hoping that maybe there’s still something that can be done
I cannot seem to learn their language
A language which they’ll understand
A case study my heart is too tired to solve
Escapism has become my reality
I’m luckier than many people yet miserable than most
I lost someone dear to me recently
Yet I couldn’t feel
Couldn’t feel warmer as the eternal winter in my heart
Perseveres
I at times , don’t feel anything
As if giving up has become my default
In everything I do
I want to try but my mind knows anything but
I’ve not been hugged in so long
Haven’t felt someone’s warmth in so long
But I no longer want to be held , by anyone
Being happy doesn’t mean one is not lonely
I’ve never been happy , for long
I’ve never known peace ..
and all I’ve been wanting is peace
Sometimes I wish an eternal slumber finds me and I wake up in a realm where my heart remembers nothing
Will they ever understand? Will their heart ever be calm enough to read between the lines ?
When the book is closed
When there’s no chapter to read anymore
When the book is burned to ashes
Will they understand? Then ?
But I am so tired
That I simply don’t want to be understood anymore

Potentially Triggering Content Denouement

Can you see it, my love?

The way I’ve already made up my mind?

It’s about that time, a chosen destiny is calling.

I’m just waiting for the money to come rolling in.

I can’t leave you yet, hanging all high and dry.

Still, have you looked recently?

At these empty eyes,

The vacant, boarded-up, run-down, unwholesome, and battered windows to my aggrieved soul?

The hollow anger I once burned for warmth has gone.

Leaving me as nothing but a vagrant castaway

Stranded on a keepsake of trust

And I am an empty, unforgiving cold.

I’ve stopped running on a swallowed temper,

Only to find I’m still not full of pride,

Merely dead on my infirm feet,

Not yet buried

Under the mountain of a devolved grief

I’d been hoping to mightily tear asunder.

So I’ve surrendered, allowed these feeble knees of a forsaken bastard to finally bend

To a future I’ve spent fixing the things I never broke.

I must go, brave a peaceful unknown.

There’s hope within this simple rope.

Forgive me, you weary angel,

But I must say this final, empty, hopeful, morbid, scared, happy, and tired

Oh my heartening darling, this so dreadfully tired

Goodbye.

Requesting Feedback Calms In-Store

Is life sacred anymore, death is naked. It will touch you like anybody else.

The grasp loosens its breath. You've been put to the test before.

When you cant ignore. The feelings come rushing.

Floods in store for its come time to mind the chores we've left undone.

Cold and staring into nothing

Im not bluffing

Do i care too much or not enough

Wont you pity me

Is beauty sacred anymore, love is naked. It will touch you like anybody else.

The flower has been picked. You've been sleeping while its keeping.

When you cant feel. The numbing sense flows anyway.

Calms in store for its come time to mind the words we've left unsaid.

It’s like
I’m not holding on tight enough
not appreciative enough
not grateful enough

too afraid
too charred
too frightened
too scarred.
So what is enough?

Requesting Feedback Oslo

wait, this is not your city, and

these are not your clothes

but you buy a coffee

from a girl with eyes the color of aquamarine forget-me-nots

and that’s all yours for a moment

ㅤ

you weren’t in love yesterday, and

you had your own clothes and your own city

blue eyes, blue eyes, is that all it takes?

you make her promise you’ll never see her again

ㅤ

can i have your eyes, you ask and

she says no, i want to see the fjords on ice and

the nordic crown as it sets sail when autumn paints the leaves

ㅤ

this is not your city,

and these are not your eyes,

but these words are yours eternally,

until you turn them to firewood,

and ember,

and ash

ㅤ

to warm yourself with memories of summer’s end

and grieving for the demise of fate,

which never was yours

just like this city,

just like these clothes,

just like those blue eyes

Requesting Feedback The Things We Must

Speak the rugged truth,

And court the aching feelings.

Guide the neverending youth,

And uncover the depthless grievings.

When you are ready.

Protect the little of innocence,

And trim the boundless darkness.

Shape the idiotic nonsense,

And contain the wisdom in the mess.

When you are ready.

I speak of the impossible.

I speak of the unexplored.

I speak of the intangible.

I speak of the Lord.

When you are ready.

Ready is so hollow,

That you must fill within.

It is pain you must swallow,

Until you go all in.

Potentially Triggering Content Making Love to You

I love to make love to you
As if I am drowning and cannot tread water
If I cling to you, clasp at you
I can stay afloat that much longer

I love to make love to you
As if I have not eaten in a fortnight
I consume your passion like ambrosia
And find myself fortified and filled just right

I love to make love to you
As if it is the last day of existence
And the weaving of our bodies into one
Is our greatest form of resistance

I love to make love to you
As if my entire being is alight with flame
And feeling your skin pressed against mine
Is the sole salve that extinguishes the pain

I love to make love to you
For you are my Favorite, my one and only
I make love to you because I am in love with you
With a love that fills my heart and soul wholly

Requesting Feedback The river between

At eleven, the river stirred,

A love unnamed, a thought unheard.

For boys, a glance; for girls, the same,

Two different sparks, one hidden flame.

Was I born this way, or led astray?

Would God condemn the love I felt each day?

I feared His wrath, I feared His eyes,

And stood too close to my own demise.

At fourteen, truth broke through the dam,

I spoke the words: bisexual, I am.

I feared my family would turn away,

Yet love was all they gave that day.

My parents, sister, brother, too,

My sister-in-law — they all came through.

No doors slammed shut, no love withdrawn,

The fear I'd carried faded with the dawn.

But years have passed, and still I wonder,

As girls draw near and boys drift under:

If women stir my heart the most,

Am I still both, or just a ghost

Of who I thought I was before?

Must I keep asking, searching more?

The river bends, but does not lie;

It holds two shores beneath one sky.

Though one side calls a little more,

Both have been part of me before.

So let the river twist and flow,

There is no debt I have to owe.

I need no proof, no perfect name —

Two kinds of love can share one flame.

Original Content Poem Read & Repeat

There is this high I feel, but not from a substance, but everything to do with letting you in.
It begins with a thought, a feeling, a creation that refuses to leave my mind.
I turn it over, I give it shape, I give it space to breathe, like you told me, turning something invisible into something real.

And I send it to you.
Just like that.
The intricate piece of myself leaves my hands, leaves my mind, and enters the space between us.

The patient waiting.
The quiet anticipation.
The knowledge that somewhere, sometime, somewhere, you are experiencing my creation.
And then, a notification, suddenly,
my world seems to sharpen.
My heart catches up with my eyes.
My attention narrows to my screen.

This is a rush I cannot quite explain,
it is a surge of something bright and electric
moving through my veins, my limbs, before I've even read a word.

You've read it, you’ve experienced it.
And now there are words, a reaction, a commentary by you.

I see your words and I feel them,
That impossible, weightless feeling,
like something in me has just taken flight.

I read your comments once, trying to absorb every word.
Then I do it again, because once isn't enough.

I see the details you noticed.
The meaning you found in the places
I wasn't even sure I'd made visible to you.

I feel this overwhelming urge to hold that moment still, to stay inside the feeling for just a little longer. Because how out of the world is it to take something that existed only in me, my head, my feelings and watch it become something that exists in the space between us?

My ideas and words were once just mine.
My creations lived only in my head.
Now they've traveled.
Now they've reached you.
And something has come back.
Not just a response, but a reason to return to my notes, to dig a little deeper, to make more, to find another piece of myself that I didn't know how to share until we sparked that inspiration.

The feeling doesn't end when I close the message.
It follows me
And sometimes I revisit a thought you noticed.
I open the message again, just to feel that little spark one more time.
Still glowing, still shining and still alive

Maybe that's the high.
Not simply being praised.
Not simply being heard.
Not simply being seen.
But the exhilaration of creating something
from the deepest, most private parts of myself, watching it come alive and sharing in someone else's understanding.

Original Content Poem Stay with me

Sometimes, I find you in the leaves; sometimes, in the fog.

Sometimes, I feel your warmth in the burning coal, and find your hair in the rain gathered in my umbrella.

Sometimes, I see you in the clouds; sometimes, I find your shining smile in the mist resting on the heads of the grass.

Tell me, will you stay like this— scattered across the world in a thousand beautiful things— or will you, too, slowly fade away?

Original Content Poem A Love That Never Came

I gave you my heart
before you knew its worth,
and loved you with a tenderness
you never quite returned.

I held on to the little things,
the moments you were kind,
and told myself that someday
you'd love this heart of mine.

Sometimes you would let me in,
and make me feel you cared,
but every time I reached for you,
there was nobody there.

I don't regret the love I gave,
or all I tried to do,
I only wish I'd realized
how little I meant to you.

And if there's one thing I regret,
it's not the love I gave,
but all the times I waited
for a love that never came.

Took a moment to realize she had what she alwasy chased for

It couldve been hers.

Requesting Feedback Before Nightfall

Unused and idle eyes rest upon a mountain holding back the mourning tide.

Rays of light cast a dull hue over our horizon as we search for whom we confide.

Indiscriminate time approaches bringing with it overwhelming emptiness.

To be ready is to be broken, do not give in to sorrow for he is expecting us.

Stand upon the edge of your crashing shore and consume the sun before she sets.

Wisdom holds the battered key bound for the door that offers no regrets.

When moons rise and mountains fall upon the sea, waves of grief will stand tall.

Spoken words become stones we cast into the deep to hold back the rising wall.

Memories hold the surface steady as we leave the sand behind to begin our own.

Dusty rocks become seeds we plant until our peak becomes vigilant and grown.

Original Content Poem Love’s Promise

I recall a time when I held you in my arms.
Your anguish palpable from the crushing weight of the world.

Your pain was my pain then, and I would carry all that and the world on my shoulders if it meant I could see your radiant smile.
I remember the promise I made as I held you. That I would always be there for you.
Always be there to care for you.
To protect you.
To lift your burdens when they were too much for your soul to bear.

I etched this promise into my heart, so that every beat would remind me of our pact.
Now you’re gone. As distant as the memory of a dream after waking.
Our bond, broken and scattered to the wind like dead autumn leaves in the gusts of a storm.

And yet, the promise in my heart remains etched there. Every beat leaving me wondering where you are.

Are you safe?
Beat
Are you comfortable?
Beat
Are you happy?
Beat

Every question left unanswered breaks my heart as I break my promise.
Feeling lost, like a knight with no kingdom left to serve. Wandering the wasteland of a cold, unknown world.

How can I possibly go on now?
I dare not forget the pact that pains me so, for it is the pain that reminds me of you.
But I know that a heart can only break so much, before the pieces are as soft as sand and drift quietly into the abyssal sea.

I remember all the times you held me in your arms, and said you loved me. My pain was your pain then, and you would carry all that and the world on your shoulders if it meant I could smile again. If it all meant a fraction to you of what it meant to me, then I think you’d want me to be the happiest I could be.
So I’ll walk this earth one step at a time, and forge a new, brighter future with the pieces of our broken promise you left behind.

Original Content Poem Good, night

Tell me honestly
what it meant
so these memories
fade to darkness.

The smell
of your candlelight
was never this strong,
yet its warmth
stuck to my skin
seeped into my bones.

Held on
like a kid
desperate

Now I’m dry
bitter, and hollow,
where’s all that bravado
when you showed up
like my savior.

Now you’re gone
tomorrow and after.

Original Content Poem You who is me.

Weirdly enough i cannot forget,

All those thoughts from that little girls head

.

she was happy, she was clean,

a little girl so small and fragile, perfectly keen;

she'd never believe the thoughts we'd seen.

.

Sprouting of doubt and tiny regret.

all because of what was said;

.

their voices grew louder, comments soft yet sharp

'a little plump' they'd remark;

smiling with no eyes nor sincere lines.

.

words repeated all night long;

the kitchen, the bed,

all their side snipes never left her head.

.

noticing all the sights,

'ha! look at her height'

.

a vein was brought above the skin,

words seeping in,

thoughts abrupt, never settling within..

.

my thighs would touch;

hers wouldn't.

my arms were round;

hers weren't.

.

my face was round;

hers slender and kept.

little did she know,

that's what they expect.

.

their smiles seemed warm and sweet,

yet razor-sharp words hid underneath;

.

not yells or shouts,

just tiny little spouts

quiet words that chipped away, all of her childish display

.

now the number on the scale won't rise, only retreating.

No matter how much she eats.

Red and blue

Democrat and republican

Two horns of the same goat

One outright hates

But the other never negates

As the creature treads upon us all

Cloven hooves all the better to trample you with my dear

The horns left shining

Gaining all manner of praise

All on top the devils perch

But no whispered deals make their way down

If the goat stays fed in riches and more

There’s no need to check its feet

The pleasure stays up

High from reach

Visible from the dirt strewn street

Poetry Prompt haiku poem

I wanna make a
poem out of a lot of
haikus, but I don't

know where I should start.
I figured that making one
whilst in the process

of wondering how
to might help me... I don't know
if it did or not.

I've flagged this thread as
"Poetry Prompt", the prompt is
for you to make these

types of poems. To
elaborate, you make each
haiku a stanza.
