So some rightwinger sends a bunch of letters with suspicious powder to a bunch of left wing politicians that specifically piss off Trump & MAGA, and thinks anyone will believe it's from DSA simply by adding that as a return address?
I wish I could say people aren't retarded enough to believe someone doing this shit would put their real return address, but the right will 100% eat this propaganda up.

To be fair, people with normal intelligence don’t send suspicious powder to politicians. So, the chances are the retards who do stuff like that are having trouble following your train of thought here.

According to the article it's not exclusive to left wing politicians.
I still suspect rightoids are behind it given the overall situation, though.
I guess it's possible it's different actors with different intents but that's... not the most plausible explanation.

The return address for DSA (edit: a significantly old and no longer DSA owned/occupied office location it should be emphasized) does kind of scream false flag but at the same time sometimes people are just that retarded too.
Intimidating election officials is also more in the MAGA playbook, and the DSA seems to be doing relatively well so like... why? But it does depend on which states and which senators I guess.
In a separate notification to senior Senate staff, the office of the Senate’s sergeant-at-arms said that senators in both parties had been mailed letters to Capitol office buildings and state offices, according to two people who viewed the notice but requested anonymity to discuss a sensitive security issue.
The sergeant-at-arms linked the letters to similar ones that had been sent to secretary of state offices nationwide.
Well shit. That doesn't help me presume anything specific. So... I'll still blame MAGA 'cause I'm all in on TDS.

Thing is, even if it was DSA, why would it be to a DSA headquarters? Wouldn't it be sent back to a specific member?

Criminals are sometimes/often profoundly stupid in unpredictable ways that feel like they actively tried to get caught.
That's why you can't always jump confidently to a false flag type of conclusion even when it looks like an obvious one.
I don't think it was the DSA or a DSA member but I can't entirely rule it out is all I mean.

I feel like I've teleported back to 2001, which, seeing the actual letters now and what I know, was quite obviously a false flag.

Do I believe that politicians and their staff buy mail order drugs on the darkweb? Absolutely
