Teachers literally have to beg parents for pencils and dry-erase markers every September. If you think public schools have the budget to perform secret surgeries, you're a special kind of stupid.

It’s awful. My mom is a teacher and single mother. My siblings and I watched my mom struggle to feed us and make sure her students had pencils. My brother fully believes teachers are pushing these transitions. And they have litter boxes in their classrooms.

He is a special kind of stupid

The "litter box" arguments drive me insane, because they actually do have a similar product in their emergency kits.. for use either as emergency bathrooms during a lockdown, or to absorb other bodily fluids. If only they could be outraged at the real reason there's cat litter in classrooms, but their gun fetish is too important.

The tragedy in Oregon recently where a “good guy with a gun” saved the day will be touted from now on and when any argument about restrictions to hem shootings comes up the ammosexuals will point to it.

I mean, yea that guy saved the day and it could have been much worse but I can’t help but think if they had ANY additional regulation they could probably prevent these horrific events entirely

The sad thing (like actually sad) is that there's reports now that that man is experiencing a lot of psychological struggles now. Understandably so. Killing someone completely unexpectedly will mess most people up, even when its totally justified.

People imagine the hero with a gun will feel pumped up like an 80s action star, but really you risk ending up with psychological scars for life.

Yeah... He's likely emotionally and psychologically destroyed for the rest of his life.

Yeah, um, sorry about that.

The cat litter box thing started in Southern New Hampshire when one of our idiot State reps claimed Pinkerton academy had litter boxes in their rooms for the kids who identify as cats. This went Nationwide and affected everyone everywhere.

I apologize on behalf of Southern New Hampshire.

But for the record I'm not from here. I moved here for a job.

Good fuckin luck trying to get a conservative to acknowledge objective, easily verifiable reality these days. :P

You can barely get them to accept that 2+2=4 any more. :P

My mom is a teacher, herself, and also believes these lies.

If you think teachers are that influential, they could get their students to shower and bathe.

I have a 13 year old daughter, this statement rings bells! A lot of these kids come from good homes & the ability to wash but prefer to smell like a backyard football game is insane! If the teachers had power like that, I'd campaign for their hire pay

This is kind of off topic for the thread, but I am so confused by this too. Going without a shower for even one day makes me feel like my skin is crawling, and yet I have met so many teens, including one of mine, who act like showering/bathing is a form of torture. It's this never ending battle to get him to shower consistently, and yet his teen sibling showers daily without needing to be asked at all. I don't get it

Don't I know it! I think kids aren't as mean as when I was growing up, I feel like if someone smelled remotely musty, kids would have told them at the least or made fun of them. If i ask my daughter if she bathed she thinks im saying she stinks and gets offended... sometimes that's the case but still

They also have to get a half-dozen forms signed by the parent to give them so much as an aspirin.

I was gonna say, my kid scraped her knee in gym last week and came home with a form from the nurse that I had to sign to acknowledge it was okay that they gave her a band-aid. God forbid they need an ibuprofen for a headache, let alone a surgery.

A band aid! That’s wild!!

The parents would also have to provide the aspirin.

Being MAGA needs to be classified as a mental illness. There’s no other way to classify it. If you are MAGA you are mentally disabled and honestly I would not trust any MAGA or Republican with so much as a succulent plant.

They legit think teachers and the goverment are mustache twirling villains with a secret agenda to convince their sweet innocent lil angel babies that they're trans, because.... uh.... why would they want to do that exactly? That part always winds up being a little fuzzy. :P

All posts and comments that include any variation of the word retarded will be removed, but no action will be taken against your account unless it is an excessive personal attack. Please resubmit your post or comment without the bullying language.

Do not edit it, the bot cant tell if you edited, you will just have to make a new comment replying to the same thing.

Yes, this comment itself does use the word. Any reasonable person should be able to understand that we are not insulting anyone with this comment. We wanted to use quotes, but that fucks up the automod and we are too lazy to google escape characters. Notice how none of our automod replies have contractions in them either.

But seriously, calling someone retarded is only socially acceptable because the people affected are less able to understand that they are being insulted, and less likely to be able to respond appropriately. It is a conversational wimpy little shit move, because everyone who uses it knows that it is offensive, but there will be no repercussions. At least the people throwing around other slurs know that they are going to get fired and get their asses beat when they use those words.

Also, it is not creative. It pretty much outs you as a thirteen year old when you use it. Instead of calling Biden retarded, you should call him a cartoon-ass-lookin trust fund goon who smiles like rich father just gifted him a new Buick in 1956. Instead of calling Mitch McConnell retarded, you should call him a Dilbert-ass goon who has been left in the sun a little too long.

Sorry for the long message spamming comment sections, but this was by far the feature of this sub making people modmail and bitch at us the most, and literally all of the actions we take are to make it so we have to do less work in the future. We will not reply to modmails about this automod, and ignore the part directly below this saying to modmail us if you have any questions, we cannot turn that off. This reply is just a collation of the last year of modmail replies to people asking about this. We are not turning this bot off, no matter how much people ask. Nobody else has convinced us before, you will not be able to either. ~

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

I'm a teacher. I literally can not give a child a cough drop without a note from the parents allowing me to do so

Well, if schools stopped performing all these surgeries, maybe they'd have enough money for markers!
