I'm at a loss of words now. Why would anyone consider Trump a capable president?

If your son Timmy comes home as Tammy, you have the wrong child. Please return Tammy to the school and pick up your son.

They are pedos so maybe they would rather have Tammy than Timmy

u/HolycommentMattman 9h ago

Don't be so sure.

55

u/SDRPGLVR 8h ago

Ever since I saw clips of Jordan Peterson's Jubilee video, this phrase is deeply funny to me.

19

u/abzze 8h ago

Which one? “There are pedos” or “don’t be so sure” 😬

43

u/SDRPGLVR 8h ago

"Don't be so sure."

The context is that he was brought in on the premise of being a Christian debating a group of atheists, but instead of having any meaningful conversation (a rarity on Jubilee to begin with), he insisted on an endless tautological argument about definitions and the concept of belief.

25

u/Cl1mh4224rd 7h ago

...he was brought in on the premise of being a Christian debating a group of atheists...

My favorite part is that they put the video out with a title like "Christian vs 20 Atheists". In the video, Peterson very explicitly denies being a Christian, so they had to change the title.

How does someone fuck that up? Did they not tell Peterson why he was there? Did they not review the video before uploading it?

12

u/anon_sir 6h ago

They also labeled Tim Pool a moderate, so I think including rage bait into the title gets people commenting and therefore increasing engagement.

10

u/LirdorElese 5h ago

Peterson very explicitly denies being a Christian, so they had to change the title.

Not to mention he exclusively gets angry at the concept of being asked to define his stance or belief. He opens with "atheists don't know what they are rejecting". Then spends the whole claim with "I never said I believe that". Basically his goal I guess was to push atheists into a positive claim with a burden of proof, by refusing to put in a definition of god.

Personally I think the most logical explanation of an atheist is "every claim of a god that's been presented to me, has not convinced me", but he basically worked to never make any claim. I guess that was kind of making it true that atheists don't know what they are rejecting with regards to his belief in a god... because he's schrodingers christian.

They are pedos so they want to control their kids and hate the idea of their kids having any autonomy over their own body or identity

Trump got it mixed up with when he used to pick children out for raping on Epstein's island

32

u/Puzzleheaded-Jury312 3h ago

Also, if you drop your kid off at school and don't see them for 3 days, the police would like a word with you.

20

u/---reddit_account--- 4h ago

I think the bigger issue is your child going to school and coming home four days later. You probably should have looked into that, even if they end up with same name.

Teachers literally have to beg parents for pencils and dry-erase markers every September. If you think public schools have the budget to perform secret surgeries, you're a special kind of stupid.

156

u/Responsible-Scale680 7h ago

It’s awful. My mom is a teacher and single mother. My siblings and I watched my mom struggle to feed us and make sure her students had pencils. My brother fully believes teachers are pushing these transitions. And they have litter boxes in their classrooms.

He is a special kind of stupid

85

u/RavenLunatic512 6h ago

The "litter box" arguments drive me insane, because they actually do have a similar product in their emergency kits.. for use either as emergency bathrooms during a lockdown, or to absorb other bodily fluids. If only they could be outraged at the real reason there's cat litter in classrooms, but their gun fetish is too important.

17

u/sjbennett85 3h ago

The tragedy in Oregon recently where a “good guy with a gun” saved the day will be touted from now on and when any argument about restrictions to hem shootings comes up the ammosexuals will point to it.

I mean, yea that guy saved the day and it could have been much worse but I can’t help but think if they had ANY additional regulation they could probably prevent these horrific events entirely

Yeah, um, sorry about that.

The cat litter box thing started in Southern New Hampshire when one of our idiot State reps claimed Pinkerton academy had litter boxes in their rooms for the kids who identify as cats. This went Nationwide and affected everyone everywhere.

I apologize on behalf of Southern New Hampshire.

But for the record I'm not from here. I moved here for a job.

If you think teachers are that influential, they could get their students to shower and bathe.

u/mattdaddy44 10h ago

I have a 13 year old daughter, this statement rings bells! A lot of these kids come from good homes & the ability to wash but prefer to smell like a backyard football game is insane! If the teachers had power like that, I'd campaign for their hire pay

Can you imagine the mountain of charges that would immediately be filed in federal court as well as state court if a child was kidnapped from school for 3 o4 days and then returned to his/her parents after having surgery performed? It would be instant headlines all across the country.

17

u/ecodrew 6h ago

Very true. Plus schools are so unfunded that teachers have to buy basic supplies out of their own pockets. Where TF are they going to get 6 or 7 figures of cash for illegal surgeries?!

And schools can barely afford the supplies they need yet pay for sex change surgeries on demand.

I almost wish someone that actually believes this would question me on how possible it is because y'all? It Fuckin' ain't.

Wait, who actually believes this is legally happening?

527

u/Walmartian_Beta 12h ago

So many fucking people.

I had a dude at work tell me that parents in Minnesota were fighting to get their children back to "normal" after the school forced them into sex reassignment surgery and some were fleeing to avoid the forced conversions.

Absolutely bonkers that people believe this is going on - because the surgery is totally free and covered by the government 100% right?

181

u/Driftedryan 11h ago

And for what? The government (entirely controlled by Republicans famous for hating trans) are making kids trans and covering the bill for some master plan of something

108

u/Walmartian_Beta 11h ago

No no, see it's the democrat teachers who have taken over the schools who are behind it all!

93

u/No-Independence548 11h ago

Yes, you see even though the entire government is controlled by Republicans, apparently there's no way to stop this completely fake evil thing from happening! That's why you have to elect Repulicans in the midterms, so they can stop it! In the future, but not right now, for reasons!

40

u/mt6606 10h ago

They aren't smart enough to work out he just said the government is kidnapping kids and swapping their private bits over... On his watch apparently? He just basically said he's the one doing it. But he'll stop doing it if you voted for him? That's toxic as fuck lol. Thank god the issue itself is bullshit.

10

u/BoneHugsHominy 9h ago

It's the Malignant Narcissist abuse logic.

32

u/mr-nefarious 10h ago

Just like he can pay every adult $5k if the Republicans win in the midterms and have a chance to be in charge, but somehow can’t just do that now when Republicans already control the White House, Senate, House of Representatives, and Supreme Court. Right…

27

u/Driftedryan 11h ago

Oh I get it now. The Democrat teachers who are well known to have lots of money are out there changing kids genders because they feel like it

These people literally believe in gods, demons and satan. They are primed from birth to believe any old shit without evidence or internal consistency.

9

u/Ebonhearth_Druid 9h ago

As long as the "right people" say it, nothing is off-limits. It's wild. If a leftist says "hey, did you see Elon musk throw up the Nazi salute? Wtf was that?" then they will do backflips to rationalize it and disbelieve their own eyes. But when Trump says "they're eating the pets and kidnapping your children to forcibly change their genders", they don't even bat an eye because the "right people" are saying it.

And for these chuds, the qualifications of "right people" are really basic: anyone in a position of authority over them. The president, the politicians of the current administration, the influencers who act as though they have special knowledge and insight into the inner workings of the government, priests and religious leaders, police, and "news" anchors. But definitely not politicians that aren't currently in power, and absolutely not their own eyes and ears. Those can't be trusted...

34

u/Suspicious-Ad6635 10h ago

That's usually my logical go-to. "Sure, they won't even allow a sandwich to be bought, but somehow the school board is handing out 100k reassignment surgeries like fucking candy?"

11

u/CV90_120 9h ago

They're turning all the boys into girls and the girls into boys! You have to see it to believe it. Some times they turn them all back again the next year! It's a plot to ....fuck knows...make everyone buy more school clothes or something?

12

u/hexcor 10h ago

Teachers have to help pay for their supplies... they beg parents for things... but schools have funding to change genders?

School nurses can even give kids an aspirin without parental consent. These people are mindless zombies.

13

u/BoneHugsHominy 9h ago

My local school can't even give kids aspirin or Tylenol to students with parental consent. They call the parent and the parent has to go to the school to physically hand their child the medication. I am so damned happy my youngest graduated in 2020.

10

u/Faiakishi 8h ago

My high school didn't even allow us to carry it. High school, you know, where a significant portion of the student body are legal adults. I get debilitating back pain with my periods, like someone is twisting all the muscles in my lower back with a screwdriver-once I went to the nurse's office asking for anything because sitting was so painful I couldn't focus. I was told to drink milk. Since it's a 'muscle relaxer.'

I stuffed cotton balls in a bottle of tylenol so it didn't make noise and carried that in my purse. To my knowledge the school nurse's job was to use her magic spray to help students get stains out of their clothes, because that was the main thing people saw her for.

I'm a Minnesotan born and raised who has to travel to South Dakota, Missouri, and Alabama frequently for work. Most people brave enough to bring up politics at work believe Minneapolis is a smoldering ash pile from the George Floyd riots. No one has outright talked about schools forcing trans surgery on kids, but last time I was in Missouri a bumpkin chatting with me said "it's a different world up there" and I didn't have the resolve to ask him exactly what he meant. My father in law is also from Minnesota, now living in KC. He is absolutely terrified to go to Minneapolis to catch a Twins game. It is quite sad, Minnesota is a beautiful state with amazing people and this administration is constantly harming it for political gain.

71

u/guttanzer 9h ago edited 9h ago

You are describing fear.

Goebels wrote about engaging irrational fears in propaganda. Fox does it 24/7/365; they make stuff up if they have to. We know from research that the brains of right wing and religious types are unusually strong at fearing things. We all need a bit of fear to stay safe, but their fear centers are over developed.

So these “bumpkins” are bumpkins because they are afraid all the time. Go to college? I’m afraid I’ll feel stupid. Visit a big city? What, and get mugged? It explains a lot.

Trump knows Goebels’s rules. The one book he has in his nightstand is about Hitler’s speeches. He can relate too; Mr Bone Spurs is a massive coward. Those are his people.

So this clip is par. He’s not trying to make sense, he’s trying to engage their deepest fears. Am I secretly gay? Am I really stupid? Are those people not like me going to kill me?

If we do what is natural - which is to scream BULL SHIT, and go on about how stupid and worthless his followers are - then we’re doing exactly what he needs us to do. We’re validating the fears of his followers.

MAGA social circles will go on about “the elites” not taking the threat of schools turning boys into girls for years. They may or may not believe it is happening, but they can see our contempt.

I don’t have an answer for this, but I can see we are being played. I know those folks are too far gone to reach, but their kids are still in adventure mode. Perhaps we can show them what’s happening with their parents.

18

u/KittyGrewAMoustache 7h ago

But whether you say they’re stupid or pretend they’re normal, they’ll do the same shit. The only way we could ever possibly hope to get them not angry and violent is to completely capitulate.

Because the truth is, they are just unable to tolerate the world and all its complexity. So unless you pander to their insecurities and act like the world is something it’s not, which will be destructive for everyone, they’ll continue as they are. There’s nothing you can do - these people have always been there, upset that they don’t have the cognitive capacity to understand so many things and enraged by the people who do, because ultimately they feel entitled to superiority. And the internet has allowed them to come together to shore up each others egos, imagining it’s not that they’re stupid or a coward, it’s that they’re being tricked by evil ‘scientists’ and ‘liberals’ who just want to destroy them because they’re so superior and therefore it’s right to be afraid and angry.

There’s nothing anyone can do to change them. Yes telling them they’re stupid will enrage them, but so will all sorts of facts that involve understanding complex concepts or things that are not intuitive and require reasoning ability. You can’t tell them climate change is real, or that vaccines don’t cause autism, or that small government just means more power in fewer hands and more corporate power, or that tariffs are ultimately paid by the consumer - you can’t even tell them Jesus said to be kind to each other because it’s not what they want to hear.

The onus isn’t on everyone else to contort themselves and reality to protect them from facing their inadequacies. The onus is on them to feel worthwhile despite not being smart and to let go of the need to exert power or project superiority and to just be decent people.

8

u/guttanzer 7h ago

If you can clearly articulate a problem you’re more than halfway to solving it. I’d say we’re more than halfway to solving this one.

I don't have any kids or young relatives, so I don't have a very good pulse on the generation that has newly reached or is approaching voting age, but one of my biggest concerns is just how damn good the propaganda machines have adjusted to using modern outlets. And with the reliance on smartphones/tech in day-to-day life in today's world, there's no escaping it.

If someone is never even taught the proper tools to have some skepticism and seek beyond what is handed to us, the cycle of misinformation becomes increasingly harder to breach

He is absolutely terrified to go to Minneapolis to catch a Twins game.

I had a few people from my old job who would say this same thing. I would ask them how many times have we heard of ANY violence, let alone a shooting, happening at a Twins game? Somehow over 20,000 people can go to 81 home games and we don't hear of a shooting at the ballpark.

24

u/BoneHugsHominy 9h ago

They're not afraid of the ballpark. They're afraid of the harrowing gauntlet of black Muslims inhabiting the ruins of the once great city that surround the ballpark like a writhing moat of terrorism and white slavery. If you get caught you have to deny Christ three times or they force you to have bottom surgery!

20

u/Faiakishi 8h ago

That fear-mongering always cracks me up. Like, you nuts, I do live in one of those Muslim-heavy parts of Minneapolis. It affects my life in exactly zero ways. We all go to the same Target to buy bread and go home. Who cares.

These people could really benefit from that, learn that the people they're so afraid of are just normal fucking human beings who have to tell their kids to put the cookies back just like anyone else.

When i have family, or random folks say, "It's a different world" here (i live in Minneapolis, in case my name wasn't enough of a clue!)

I tend to lean in & say, "YEP!!!  We have folks from all over the world, and an incredible food & restaurant scene, because of it!

I can get authentic Greek, Mexican, Mediterranean, Hmong, Pizza that's New York, Detroit, Chicago, Italian, or Midwestern pub-style, German, Polish, Ukranian Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, Hawaiian, Japanese, French, so many kinds of Indian, other Asian, Carribbean, Middle-Eastern, Central & South American, and African foods.

And i can also get ingredients from all over the world!

If you like to cook, bake, or try new foods from around the world? Minneapolis-St. Paul and the surrounding area is incredible, because you don't have to be on a coast, or in Chicago to get all of that!"

And the other thing that people "not from here," don't get?

Is that--while there are "growing pains" when each new generation of immigrants comes in--

There were the freakouts back in the 1980's about "Hmong Gangs!" and the 90's & early 00's about "Hispanic Gangs!" juuuuust like there are nowadays about "Somali Gangs!"(🙄🙄🙄), for pete's sake!

The groups of people who come in, settle, and STAY here?

They DO largely hold the SAME VALUES!!!

Just like the Dakota & the Ojibwe who were here first--there is a culture of accepting new folks, and making sure they're fed, clothed, and safe.

We feed our neighbors, and we come from communal cultures, where folks pitched together and take care of each other, and no one gets left behind.

The Germanic, Irish, & Nordic folks who settled in the 1800's-early 1900's looked out for & took care of each other.  Same with the jewish folks fleeing pogroms in Eastern Europe. The folks who moved North from Southern States, during The Great Migration.

Those Germans & Nordic folks didn't "fully integrate" and start speaking English at home, until after WW2 started!!!

And after WW2, not only did plenty of American GI's bring home Brides from Europe & Asia, plenty of German POW's stayed here, and married American women.

Then, during & after the Korean & Vietnam wars, on through the 90's, til now Minnesotans adopted kids (so many Korean kids in the 60's-80's!), and we brought refugees from the Phillipines, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and the surrounding region here--especially the Hmong families whose men fought with & for the US.

And they brought their foods, and that "taking care of one another" culture.

Then, in the 1980's, we started getting lots of immigrants from Mexico, Central, & South America, and they did the same--sharing food, traditions, and that sense of care & community.

And in the 90's through now, we see the influx of folks from East Africa--Ethiopia, Somslia, Eritrea, etc, and folks from West Africa--Liberia,  Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Ghana, Guinea, Nigeria, etc., who brough their foods, and community-based values.

So many folks from other places--and honestly, even folks from the very white & rural parts of our state, see the struggles those (often second-generation) kids have, "finding their place" here, and assume "They all hate us and they're alllll violent!"

And that's NOT what goes on.

Most of our new immigrants?

They're JUST LIKE the Germans, Irish, Jewish, & Nordic Folks, who settled here 100-150 years ago!

Community-minded, hardworking, and here to create a better life for their families.

And you start to SEE that, once you get to know them!

Minnesota is a state of mind, based around getting to know folks, helping each other survive some pretty harsh elements, getting through the seasons together, and soooooo much good food shared back & forth!

Once we sit down & get to know each other*?

We start realizing that we might've been born in very different places around the world!

But we were RAISED THE SAME WAY!!!  With the same values!!!  Doesn't matter if we grew up in rural MN, or a refugee camp in Ethiopia, Laos, or fled the breakup of the USSR, or a South American Dictatorship!

We care about our neighbors, and the folks around us, we make sure they have their necessities covered, that their kids are getting a good education, and we understand--like Paul Wellstone used to say,

"We all do better, when we ALL do better!"  "Trickle Down" politics is BS.  Building the community up, by making sure everyone has enough--that makes us so much stronger!

I live in Portland, so same vibe with my FIL in Boise. The funny thing is, he's been to Portland, had a lovely time, but he goes back to Idaho and keeps the same talking points. It's not even about reality, it's about group membership.

9

u/chi_guy8 6h ago

I live in Chicago, the city where all these inbreds you’re talking about have been brainwashed into thinking it’s the most violent place on the planet. None of them understand crime rates to realize Chicago doesn’t even crack the top 40 most dangerous cities in the US. They just hear the Fox News reports that 6 (of the 9 million) people were murdered over the weekend, but never bat an eye at the 4 (of 680k) people killed in Memphis that same weekend.

What even more crazy is how concentrated most of Chicago’s crime is in certain neighborhoods I’ve never even been through and never will, and certainly no tourist ever would. It will be like random two-block stretches between the city and the suburbs, where it’s just nonstop gang on gang violence and turf wars.

But nobody here is too bothered by the MAGA repellant narrative.

41

u/Quantentheorie 11h ago

'believe' is the critical word here, because this is right up there with the same dynamics you find in religions. So there is people who literally believe it, those who figuratively believe it, those who believe in "some version" of it and those who don't believe it but don't mind participating because they believe in what the community as a whole stands for.

14

u/tepidlymundane 10h ago

Good reply. Their beliefs are solid as water, and reshape without concern from one end of a sentence to the other.

Oceans of deliberate right wing propaganda have been made to fill vessels of all types. The long game is working for the ones who paid for it.

17

u/DoJu318 10h ago

Christians are taught from the cradle to believe things without any evidence.

What happens when a charlatan conman tells them he's one of "them" and starts spouting nonsense? This, this is what you get.

Christian conservatives in the US are the world biggest suckers and they dont even realize it.

Who believes this? The morons that walk into my bar and start ranting about how kids are being transgendered at school. The average American is a complete fucking idiot. I think it's about time we're honest with each other and understand that the vast majority of people are just plain fucking stupid and so goddamn gullible. That's why so many people in this country get scammed. Because they're fucking morons.

56

u/jfk_47 12h ago

I don’t think many of them do.

But it’s parroted by Chinese and Russian bot farms to give the impression that more people think it’s real.

9

u/Nurgeard 10h ago

It's hard to say, the stupidity of the MAGA continues to surprise me even though I already expect so little from them - so despite how idiotic this is, I would not be surprised that a majority just listen to the holy words of the blessed pedohpile baby man without question - for that would be unchristian...

8

u/BoneHugsHominy 9h ago

I really wish people would stop blaming bots when it's real life MAGA morons who all day every day parrot the bullshit in small towns across the country.

I live in Deep Red MAGA Kansas and I actively try to avoid conversation with locals because every discussion, no matter the topic, always circles around to the bullshit MAGA talking points they saw that morning on Fox News, White House tweets, and Trump truths. It's like being surrounded by toddlers trying to convince you of the play-world they're into that week.

Drumpf tells lies, every day, about countless things. He lies to create a smokescreen. He pretends he's intelligent. He fakes information about his reasons for going to war.

He falsifies information about his finances, his business acumen, the aptitude of the people employed in his Cabinet.

He lies about the behaviour of groups of people he wants to "other". He creates stress & divides communities. He's cruel & mocks minorities. He does so because he's a bully. He still needs to bully other people, despite the power he has as POTUS.

Trans people are a really small minority. It's not easy being Trans. There's a lot of misinformation out there about the motivation of Trans people, what their goals are & what they do.

So much of that information comes from Drumpf. He picks on marginalized groups because it's difficult for those groups to be heard & taken seriously.

This is the man who promised a wall, which wasn't needed & was never completed. This is a man who lied about some immigrants (residing legally in the US) eating their neighbours pets.

It's more lies. Because he's almost incapable of telling the truth. He's made the USA a place of intolerance & suspicion & cruelty. Stop believing his BS.

OP, is this the first time you've heard him say this?

It's not the first time Trump said this, it's been a part of his rotating stump speeches for years - he says unbelievable, incredibly stupid, absolutely outrageous things like this so his base will continue to be riled up and not focus on how badly they are being fleeced.

Have you listened to some the MAGAt Morons regurgitate this back in public?

A lot of videos are around of them actually parroting this crap, believing it is occurring...

We have a damned dumb populace, incredibly stupid - I have no empathy for them, never have, they are willfully ignorant and duped by an incompetent conman.

12

u/squirrelfoot 11h ago

Frankly, I thought the previous reports were AI generated fake news when I saw them on social media. I just could not believe that nonsense like that would come out of the mouth of the President of the United States. I am still not convinced it is possible. I know he is a liar and all that, but this is nuts. I am not from the US, btw.

8

u/Theo1352 10h ago

Social media - that is not a factual source, for sure.

No, he's said it before and continues to say it, typical Republican playbook because they know their voters and get results by continuing to reinforce this over and over.

Get the Hillbilly Rubes to focus on stupid false things like this, rather than the major strategic issues like the Iranian War.

These people cannot understand the bigger issues, so they're fed constant crap like this - racist, misogynist, anti-Queer, et al - all kinds of outrageous, and frankly dangerous tropes that are easier for the base to digest and fear.

Like I said, just incredibly and willfully ignorant.

6

u/squirrelfoot 10h ago

This is downright evil - unless he is suffering from some sort of brain deterioration or mental illness. He has his finger on the nuclear button FFS!

6

u/Theo1352 10h ago

That is his MO, evil - he is a horrible person, deeply insecure, very stupid, but covers it up with his Narcissism, his bluster, his lying with every breathe, his bullying, everything we see.

Yes, it is concerning he has the launch codes and talks about a pre-emptive strike on Iran all the time. He has no clue what that would do to the Middle East, for starters - he lied us into a war, thinks our nuclear arsenal is a toy.

His Parents both had Alzheimer's, if I'm not mistaken, he has Dementia of some kind, if not Alzheimer's, exhibits Sundowners, which is typical, where he gets extremely agitated as the sun goes down, he is incontinent for sure, losing his ability to walk, confused all the time, garbled speech, morbidly obese and all that entails, etc. etc.

He's an extremely sick man.

In the background you have one sign that says "Social Security", and I assume it says something like " Defend Social Security " or "Save Social Security". He's talking about a fever dream he had after snorting some coke, and there's a lady in the background who is beaming.

Trump I can get to an extent, it is his supporters are just odd. They see the same thing, they sit through hours of this stuff, and then they deny what they just saw. I just don't get it, him being mentally off is one thing, but his supporters being so delusional and insane, not merely hateful, disturbs me more than anything Trump says outside of his genocidal threats.

There's a new article about interviews with Gen Z Trump voters and they're acting all disappointed when I'm just wondering why they felt any confidence in him at all.
