Building the Compatible Citizen

Most discussions isolate the problem: regulation is examined separately from education, platform moderation separately from institutional language. I wrote Building the Compatible Citizen because that fragmented view may be precisely what prevents us from recognizing the larger pattern.

The essay makes no claim of conspiracy or central coordination. It considers a more uncomfortable possibility: that institutions pursuing different and apparently reasonable goals can converge without understanding the order they are collectively producing.

I am curious whether others recognize the pattern—or think I have connected what should remain separate.
