We need to trade Luisa and add Awak Kuier to our roster in her place. It’d be great to see Charisma brought back in some regard, she did a lot in those few games she played. I would also love to see Marine Johannes or Janelle Salaun on our team (I know, I know, I’m dreaming).

I think Marine is not staying put, so of the two she is more likely and she’d be a great fit to our offense how we play.

I doubt there are any true Fire fans that don't want Emily back, and she spoke in her exit interview like she expects to be back, so I'm pretty confident she'll re-sign. She deserves a huge raise and I will be happy to have her back at any price.

I will never stop wishing for Elizabeth Kitley to get another chance on the W, but I'm not sure if she's trying to play anymore or not. Still, I'd love to have her.

Kitley's protégé, Clara Strack, is poised to be a high draft pick in 2027 and I'd love to get her, too. She's an excellent defender and versatile scorer.

One thing I really learned from 2026 is to expect the unexpected. Our FO isn't as focused on NCAA players as other teams and fans tend to be, and I trust our coaching staff with player development. With that said, I know not to get too attached to what I want in the draft, or even free agency.

I wish I had more Euro knowledge, because I agree it feels like that is where they have a ton of attention and knowledge, both for the draft and for FA.

I'll try to watch any games that our known players are in, and maybe pick up some knowledge that way, but mostly I'm just putting my faith in Vanja. She shut up the naysayers (I admit I was one!) very decisively this season.

Luisa's team, Fenerbahce Tarfin, is stacked with W talent. I hope to watch most of their games!

And, of course, the Fire MUST re-sign Em.
