Uneven shoulders

Post image

I’ve noticed one of my shoulders sits higher than the other and my neck and body almost leans to one side when I am standing. Any idea why and how I can fix this?

You are braking against the ground/gravity on your right. Its a system wide issue called functional scoliosis/lateral pelvic tilt and has a few other names depending on which school of thought you are referring to.

Hope my past comments here give you a better intro into this, just be warned, it's not an easy topic and there is no one straight easy answer to solve this. It typically takes months of work.

But it can be fixed?

Well...'fixed', yes. Remember that we are all slightly asymmetrical in the exact position you present here, even the most symmetrical person in the world will have this to a very small degree. It's about understanding how to use distribution of load and rotation of the pelvis, while managing the ribcage at the same time.

Dang, that gaming chair might be part of the problem if you're leaning into one armrest for hours

Yup. This also contributes to the pelvis offset. Most people rest on their right elbow and get left butt heavy.

I would check for a leg length discrepancy

I’m pretty sure the legs are the same length. I’ve noticed I tend to sit into my hips differently when I do a lunge
