Each country would inherit their part of the UK debt. It's highly likely their economies would be too bad for the EU to consider letting them join.

Why would those countries accept another countries debt? This type of thing was answered during the Scottish independence referendum, the same with currency etc.

Because the UK government holds the power to let them be independent and the UK debt is also debt from money spent on Wales, Scotland and NI. If they're not going to take on their share of money spent on them then why would they be permitted to become independent? That's a debt of £268 billion for Scotland right out the door.

Nah, most of that ‘debt’ was funnelled to England. Like everything always has been.

Says Stinky Pete so it's true!

Want an example, look at per head of population funding of transport infrastructure, or perhaps R and D funding. You name it England exploits the UK.

Cherry pick to things to try and prove your flawed argument.

Identifiable Government Spend per Person Relative to UK Average (£13,504)

Northern Ireland £16,116 Scotland £15,563 Wales £15,155 England £13,134

So the UK spends considerably more per capita on every other home nation than England does.

The debt we've accumulated is as a country, if you want to leave you have to pay your part of it.

‘Cherry picking’ real statistics. Then declaring others are flawed. Hilarious. England and its people know full well they depend on Wales and Scotland for their wealth. Hence why you are all on here bleating away against the breakup of the UK and not promoting it.

The UK depends primarily on London and the south east for its wealth. How are Scotland and Wales sources of wealth for the UK?

Please enlighten us, what wealth do Scotland and Wales generate for England? Absolutely every statistic out there shows both nations are heavily subsidised.

I genuinely couldn't care less if the UK broke up and your argument about all being on here... What are you doing here?

If you don’t care if the UK breaks up why are you here? Do enlighten us all. What purpose does your post have?

Scotland is not a net contributor to the UK economy. It receives more money from Governemnt than it generates in tax

Yeh I know, if you count business tax in Wales so is Wales.

I mean you can just Google spending per capita for each nation and realise you're actually wrong. England is the worst receiver of public funds, and most of what England gets is mainly sent to London. The people being robbed here isn't the Scottish.
