The cover up of this type of behavior is ridiculous. We need more people like Mr. Fuentes (with presumed financial leverage) to stand up for this not juat at the collegiate level but on all grounds. While this sh*t at Cornell is awful, what has been documented and known exists in the Epstein files is at a magnitude of scale larger.
None of these men--and these college boys-- should be allowed to go unpunished. Severely punished.
Our society will keep grappling with thisā¦over and overā¦Cornell. Epstein. Me too. The list sadly goes on and onā¦UNTIL enough people say āno more.ā Until enough alumni, people that those in power will actually listen toāor enough of the othersācome forward and say āenough.ā
Because the behavior will continueā¦until ENOUGH people start saying itās not acceptable. Especially people that the administration values. With Cornell, hitting them in the dollar sign is definitely the way to go.
I wish all serious crimes were immediately referred to the regular police. Universities have too much internal pressure to minimize, hide, and conceal.
Society has rejected
racism (civil rights movement)
sexism (womenās movement, Title IX)
It still occurs. But society as a whole has rejected it.
But, despite āme tooā and the various frat scandals and horrors of the past decade, the environment hasnāt changedā¦and thereās been a tug-of-war between the two factions. We have outrage over thisā¦and all the folks who elected the convicted rapist in chief. And the Epstein files remain hidden
Iām almost scared to ask what it will finally take to change enough minds.
So, so much hurtful misbehavior that men just wonāt give up.
