The problem is a retraction, apology or fact check does nothing. Once a conspiracy theory is out there, you can't go back from it. MAGAs are too dumb and lazy to actually do research.

They see something on Facebook, share it immediately as a way to own the libs and it floods the platform.

Also you see Fox isn't apologizing or anything, they're shifting the blame back to others.

The tweet has "why would you stop at a red light and let me hit you doing eighty!?" vibes

It's not their story or claim. Which you would know if you actually looked up who originally made it

But it's their job to fact check it. “If someone says it’s raining & another person says it’s dry, it’s not your job to quote them both. Your job is to look out of the fucking window and find out which is true.”

They did by saying that the NYT's article did so?

curious how NYT managed to not report the lie and find out the truth then, huh?

Well they're claiming to have done so, proof without being willing or able to show it isn't worth much though

Stop trying to pull people into the mud with you to argue.

The other poster is correct, fox could have done their job but they didn’t.

Ken Paxton was at one of those Alpha Male training camps over the weekend and got kicked out for earning too many Pussy Points.

He couldn’t even make it two days and the first day is just orientation.

You get reporting claims without fact checking them isn't good journalism, right? That's like, the definition of bad journalism, even.
