They pretended this guy was a holy saint he literally taxed your social security. To give himself a tax cut.

How to be a "FiSCaL CoNsErVaTiVe":

  1. Implement "Trickle Down Economics"

  2. Watch it fail for 40 years

  3. Start war in Middle East

Cut education so nobody figures it out and it’s working because 50 years later here we are

u/Andrew-Cohen 22h ago

This is why trump ran as a republican..

27

u/MyPr0j3ct 22h ago

I thought it was because Obama was a democract and he made fun of him at the WHC dinner.

41

u/Andrew-Cohen 22h ago

That honestly might have had something to do with it, but democrats would have kicked him to the curb when he mocked a disabled reporter and bragged about sexually assaulting women..

26

u/AmericanCitizenry 19h ago

And Republicans would embrace that.

Know your audience.

Both things can be true

ā€œLet your communication be yea, yea or nay, nay; else it comes of evilā€. - Some dusty old book.

You Just had to make fun of the thin-skinned raging Narcissist didn’t you.

Jesus said right wingers categorically aren’t Christian and they still haven’t figured that out thousands of years later. They’re pretty sloooooow on the uptake.

I’m in my 30s and every republican president of my life time has started a war in the Middle East.

15

u/AmericanCitizenry 19h ago

You could be 60, and that would still be true.

I'm 76. When I was four years old, President Eisenhower began giving financial support to Vietnam, though military came after his presidency. To be fair, we have Kennedy and Johnson to blame for the worst of it. Modern times? All Republicans do is start stupid wars and wreck the economy.

Eisenhower and his newly minted CIA is the reason Iran is a shit show. Along with any number of other problems. Especially from Central and South America.

THANK YOU šŸ™

If you were older you could include Bush Sr. for Iraq 1.0 and Reagan for installing radicals in Afghanistan. If you expand it to all of Asia you can include Nixon for his illegal war in Cambodia.

Wasn't that Kissinger?

2

u/BlackKingHFC 11h ago

Kissinger was never the Commander-in-Chief of the United States military. While he was manipulating political aspects pushing howards the war, ultimately Nixon was the one that sent the troops.

1

u/kitsunewarlock 2h ago

Perhaps his advice, but the argument that Nixon/Regan/Bush Jr were just being mislead by evil vice-presidents is bullshit revisionism.

It didn't fail, it did exactly what they wanted. It was the precursor to Project 2025. It's always about pushing the boundaries of what you can grift.

Trickle down didn't so much fail as it was never meant to succeed. It was meant to be a conservative sound bite to get the masses to go along with the tax cut for the wealthy. It did what it was designed to do, which was to have conservatives spread the lie of trickle down.

5

u/Aggravating-Pea-3237 22h ago

Fun fact it's call horse and sparrow economics..I wonder why the name needed to be changed for the American people šŸ¤”

7

u/mindless_gibberish 16h ago

It's because 'trickle down' makes it sound more like a natural phenomenon. They teach us that capitalism is basically the natural order of things.

Capital rains down from the heavens; the most blessed Job Creators are able to capture that capital and use it to build Wealth; If we, the lowly serfs, are faithful and productive, the Job Creators will provide. They owe us nothing, of course, as they are Self Made. We owe them our eternal gratitude for the privilege of existing.

Said it multiple times myself. Been rebranded because literally ā€œEat Shit, Peasantā€ wasn’t very palatable.

Reagan didn't start the war in the middle east. Granada Iran Contra but Iran Iraq were fighting. All other bad domestic policies mentioned are correct. Let's not forget allowing the Fairness Doctrine to expire.

13

u/Nerd-man24 20h ago

No, he just prolonged a hostage crisis with backroom deals so he could get elected.

10

u/Pasta4ever13 20h ago

And funded the Taliban

2

u/Nerd-man24 19h ago

That too. The folks in the mountains of Afghanistan are goat farmers. That is not to say there is anything wrong with subsistence farming. It is as valid a way of life as any other. They have been living this way, however, since before the days of Alexander. Our interference isn't really wanted or needed. They will take the benefits of us rolling in with big piles of cash, but they don't really see the need to change their way of life by much and don't really want to as a result. Honestly, who are we to tell them that they need Western-style democracy and conveniences?
