His tax cut on the rich literally turned the US into a debtor nation. He's a loser and a terrible president. Did he do some good things, like his dealings with Gorbachev? Yes. But he broke the law, had hostages held longer to win the election and a host of other things.
When he debated Jimmy Carter, he said it was "disgraceful" that the US had double digit deficits. Reagan went on to create historic triple digit deficits.
