This is such a gross comparison. If she committed immigration fraud she should be punished. Additionally, nobody can tell me her financial records look right.

And before a bunch of start talking about Trump, yes all crimes should be punished, including his.

4

u/Infamous_JRG 9h ago

All right so let's start with punishing trumps bitch ass

1

u/GanacheSufficient292 7h ago

See, all about Ttump excusing everyone else.

1

u/WillowOk2135 9h ago

You don't think they're going to after he leaves office? You don't remember the 34 felonies and all the trials and how they went after him?

1

u/ReformedMeany94 9h ago

You think the man becoming president after means he was punished? Does your brain work?

1

u/WillowOk2135 9h ago

Are you special needs or something? Try reading the entire conversation and note what I'm reacting to. I don't have time to hold your hand through this. Ask others for help if you're still confused and struggling.

1

u/ReformedMeany94 9h ago

LOL me? Nope. You certainly are.
You’re trying to say Trump was punished for those felonies. He wasn’t. The very fact he became President after is proof of that.

You might be stupid, not everyone else is.

1

u/WillowOk2135 9h ago

I'm not trying to say that. I never said he was punished. The implication of my comment was that he was prosecuted and investigated. However, while he's the President and not currently in prison, he was convicted of 34 felonies in NY state court. So he was in the legal sense "punished".

Omar hasn't been punished yet either, she's only being investigated.

So again, instead of name calling try reading slowly while understanding the meaning of words.

0

u/Electronic-Funny-475 9h ago

Good ol crime with no complainant. No victim. No damages. No anything. But by god let’s prosecute. Meanwhile career criminals
Are slashing throats on trains.

1

u/WillowOk2135 9h ago

Not sure what you're talking about guy...I was responding to the person saying "let's go after trumps bitch ass..." and I was pointing out that this has already happened.

0

u/Electronic-Funny-475 9h ago

I was talking about his felonies for “over valuing his assets on a loan app” even though it was paid in full. That’s what his trial was about. Over valuing property as collateral.

1

u/ProteanSurvivor 9h ago

No
it wasn’t? 34 felonies to hiding his payments to a prostitute while he cheated on his wife. Swayed the outcome of the election by hiding that from voters

1

u/BD_McShwizzle_stixs 9h ago

Honestly, if it was cheating on his wife over cheating on finance would you care? Most of you already think he does/has. Also if it was his wife, that wouldn’t really affect anyone but his family. If it was financial, it’s more likely to affect the people.

1

u/ProteanSurvivor 9h ago

If you’re voting for a president you don’t think it’s important to know if they are an adulterer? I’m sure his Christian base would love that

1

u/BD_McShwizzle_stixs 8h ago

I’d imagine most would prefer their president not cheat but would be more upset about a president who cheats financially. No one seemed to care when Clinton was cheating, in the white house, then lied about. MLK, Gandhi, Kamala Harris.

u/WillowOk2135 9h ago

Sure, I'm with you there. It was a bunch of BS charges and the point I'm making is that Democrats have, and probably will again, go after their political rivals. So people acting like this is outrageous are not being intellectually honest or consistent.

1

u/ProteanSurvivor 8h ago

BS charges against Trump? What was BS about it?

Hilarious how you’re quiet about Trump weaponizing the DOJ to go after his political rivals. Talk about being dishonest

0

u/WillowOk2135 8h ago

Go through the charges and tell me which one you feel was something done by no other public figure and previously prosecuted...I'll wait.

Overestimation and over-valuing of assets?

Improper Invoicing?

Incorrect ledger entries for taxes?

The charges against Trump were clearly BS and politically motivated.

Hilarious how you think only one side (not your side) is capable of hypocrisy, weaponizing government, bad faith arguments, and other improprieties.

Talk about dishonest.

1

u/ProteanSurvivor 6h ago

The 34 felonies were labeling payments to a prostitute as “business transactions” to sway the election. What’s BS about that?

2

u/boforbojack 9h ago edited 7h ago

I personally don’t feel that I should lift one finger of support for a judicial system where power and money control selective prosecution. Also, I don’t trust a single thing coming from the current DHS. An “investigation” is not valid until it is proven in a court of law.

And finally, what immigration fraud do you think she committed when she was 12 years old?

1

u/Mundane-Reality-7770 7h ago

She came here when she was 12

1

u/boforbojack 7h ago

Ah I’m sorry. So the 12 year old who came on a valid asylum visa committed fraud

1

u/Mundane-Reality-7770 7h ago

You said 3. I corrected you since you like making things up

2

u/boforbojack 6h ago

And I said I’m sorry >.>

1

u/Mundane-Reality-7770 6h ago

Read as disingenuous.

Apparently the problem isnt there either. Its from when she was 17 or 18.

1

u/were-lizard 6h ago

Not valid asylum papers. Fraud

1

u/Worried-Revenue3217 6h ago

the claim has been made but the proof has not been given.

1

u/were-lizard 6h ago

Correct. It's the charge coming up

1

u/Ok_Reaction6105 2h ago

Someone noticed years ago when she was in the state senate she was 18 when she was granted citizenship under fraudulent terms. It’s just now finally coming to fruition

1

u/tigersgeaux 6h ago

She came here at 12 but didn’t have citizenship until 17 and some people debate how old she was.

1

u/GanacheSufficient292 7h ago

You clearly don't know what she's being investigated for. Her birth year was changed making her 18 (an adult) coming here. They lied about her age to get her in. That is a crime.

2

u/boforbojack 7h ago

She came in when she was 12
. So they planned 6 years in advance and changed her dob upon entry? Also gtfo of here with definitive statements. You don’t know any of that

1

u/GanacheSufficient292 6h ago

Have you not read on this before commenting? Yes, came here at 12, she's under investigation of at what age they applied for citizenship 17 or 18. Her birth year was changed to make her 17 when she was 18. Thats what they are investigating. The investigation started in Dec 2025.

2

u/boforbojack 6h ago

Was her birth year changed, or are they investigating?

1

u/GanacheSufficient292 6h ago

Her birth year was changed after she entered congress from 81 to 82. If her birth year is 1981she would have been an adult and not qualified for derivative citizenship. Thats the fraud they are investigating. There was probable cause the search her home.

1

u/were-lizard 8h ago

Looks like her father lied about bring a leader in a genocide in Somalia, then she changed her age to get citizenship, and her father never did but lied about it. So she's a victim and criminal. This is all going to end up in court, so not proven yet. The father for sure, that's public facts. Everything stemming from it is being argued

2

u/Dizzy_Today_3523 7h ago

So because of what her father did she's now held liable for that? Is that really how this great country works? Because if that's true then we would be holding Trump accountable for what his father did. And so many others. But for some reason people want to ignore that.

Got to love America. Selective Justice

1

u/were-lizard 7h ago

Her father lied on immigration paperwork, he is guilty of fraud, and never got citizenship. She claimed that she was younger to get a grant of naturalized citizenship due to her father being a citizen (so 2 fraud counts, she was over 18 and not eligible, and father was not a citizen). Those are facts.

2

u/boforbojack 7h ago

Oh, you have her Somalian birth certificate showing a different age than her naturalization?

1

u/were-lizard 6h ago

Are you serious? They came here and claimed one age, as refugees got documents. Then she found out she was too old to be naturalized under her father's "citizenship ", so lied on the paperwork and became younger. Keep in mind the father was never actually a citizen. Then aged up again when running for office. Its fraud to be whatever age you decide today. Maybe she just identifies as older now.

2

u/boforbojack 6h ago

I’m being serious. You have literal proof that the birth years changed? Cause you should share that with the DHS then

1

u/were-lizard 6h ago

No, its their claim so far, that will turn into a charge, then see where it goes. Your flat denials are just feelings though. The claim has already made it far enough and with enough merit that a judge signed off the warrant. Not proof yet but better than "no i dont like it Nyah nyah"

1

u/TexanAmericanMexican 7h ago

I wonder how you feel about slavery in America...

-1

u/rizzatouiIIe 8h ago

Biden admin started the investigation btw

3

u/ProteanSurvivor 8h ago

A different investigation about finances. Dropped for lack of evidence btw

1

u/Lumpy_Worth_5397 7h ago

So this is the selective prosecution he was talking about?

0

u/Aggravating-Ad8087 7h ago

I dont believe that

1

u/ProteanSurvivor 6h ago

I don’t really care

Biden-Era Investigation: In 2024, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington and the Justice Department's public integrity office opened an investigation into Omar focusing on her finances, campaign spending, and interactions with a foreign citizen. That inquiry stalled and was closed due to a lack of evidence

1

Wow I'm shocked to learn that Liberal Democrats are not great people! The Israeli supporting Biden admin, doing untoward things?!!?? Whaaaat no I love them!!!

0

u/National-Seaweed-468 8h ago

The claim is that when she was 18 she claimed to be 17 for naturalized citizenship so if true an adult committed fraud not a child and definitely not one of 3 years of age.

1

u/FreshFishBro 7h ago edited 7h ago

Oh brother come on now! She did that so she could be citizen after both her parents became naturalized. Thats how it works, if your parents naturalize before you’re 18 you get citizenship from them. After 18, you have to go through the process yourself. If you qualify already ( and she did), which is the hard part, any American high schooler can pass that test. I know, because I did it at 18, but I came to America at 4. So she would have gotten it either way, she just skipped the test by saying she’s 1 year younger.

1

u/Mundane-Reality-7770 7h ago

Probably shouldn't have skipped test day.

1

u/Geedeepee91 7h ago

Probably shouldn't commit fraud and lie on US government paperwork

1

u/National-Seaweed-468 7h ago

So you agree she committed fraud but don’t think there should be consequences. She probably wouldn’t be facing them if she hadn’t then run for congress and expressed hate for Americans then committed more fraud with her financials and potentially more fraud if she married her brother.

1

u/FreshFishBro 7h ago

Ok sure, give her a fine for lying about her age by less than a year, sure. Don’t imply it’s part of some deep criminal history. I’m sure she’s jaywalked before too, and don’t get me started on how much she’s littered

1

u/National-Seaweed-468 5h ago

Except the investigation is about whether or not she has a deep criminal history. If she married her brother and committed financial fraud it definitely speaks to a pattern that started at or before claiming to be 17 and fraudulently gaining citizenship. If you don’t like the consequences change the law but the law says the consequences are nullifying her citizenship. I’m not implying it’s part of a deep criminal history I’m saying it. She should have her day in court if she did these things.

0

u/FreshFishBro 5h ago

Agreed she should have her day in court. I don’t think a 17/18 year old miss representing their age on a government form by a few months is any evidence of deep criminal history or affiliation. It’s like when a kid shoots up a school, they suddenly take every questionable thing they’ve ever done and spotlight it as if there were clear signs that were missed. Instead of the honest truth that young boys act out irrationally and violently at times when under pressure and guns are far too available to them.

1

u/were-lizard 6h ago

And the father never was naturalized, so there us that. Also they were at the top of the genocidal regime that got kicked out of somalia, so false asylum claim. It was actually dodging legal repercussions

0

u/Energy_Bol 7h ago

The claim hinges on whether or not Omar knowingly lied on her naturalization documents, because who’s going to realistically expect a child that’s simply following their family, to know and understand the fundamental laws of US immigration and naturalization?

Imagine going to the doctor’s office as a child and being blamed for giving false information on the intake and insurance forms that your parents filled out.

Basically the same premise. How could Omar knowingly commit a crime if Omar’s parents were the ones in charge of filling out her paperwork and making sure she was naturalized properly?

Also, if we’re going to start stripping people of their citizenship status and deporting them because they may have lied on their naturalization intake forms, then let’s deport Elon Musk who naturalized under false pretenses of a J-1 student visa that he overstayed and illegally violated. Let’s also deport Melanie Trump who was naturalized under false pretenses of a B1/B2 visa for extraordinary talent, which we all know she doesn’t have.

That’s the wild part. The reason that they’re attempting to prosecute congresswomen Omar, is the same reason why the First Last and the world’s richest man are in the US in the first place, as well. Holy hypocrisy.

0

u/National-Seaweed-468 5h ago

If it was a lie she was 18 and responsible. If it wasn’t a lie it was legal and a moot point. You’ve depicted it as her being a child but it hinges on her being an adult or not.

0

u/Energy_Bol 5h ago

That’s not my point.

Yes I understand that there are different processes for minors and non minors.

Just wanted to point out that 18 years olds, while legally considered adults, are still morons that have the emotional intellect of an angsty teenager.

No, it is not right to lie on an official document, but I also do not think it is right to reasonably and realistically expect a teenager to fully comprehend the weight and ramifications of simply saying you’re 1 year younger, especially if your parents tell you it’s okay and that it’ll be fine.

Like I doubt a teenager is going to instinctively lie about their age on a form unless they were instructed to by their parents.

I’m not saying Congresswomen Omar shouldn’t be punished if the investigation and evidence supports the claims, I’m just saying that this is clearly a targeted and discriminatory use of our federal justice system.

Im saying that, if Trump and his administration is going to punish Congresswomen Omar and strip her status and deport her for being in the country illegally, then I wonder why Trump and his administration isn’t punishing someone like Elon Musk who illegally overstayed his student visa?

If congresswomen Omar wasn’t a brown woman, then we wouldn’t even be in this mess, because we all know rich white people get to illegally skirt immigration laws, apparently.

0

u/AnewTest 5h ago

Oh, look. The story changed again.

5

u/AnAnonymous121 9h ago

Melania also committed immigration fraud, and came to work in the USA without proper work auth. But we'll overlook that, i suppose

2

u/yomamaslover 2h ago

Should we deport her too?

3

u/Jreinhal 9h ago

You’re just going to conveniently skip over the part where they said Trump should be held accountable as well? Typical

1

u/bombastic6339locks 9h ago

I too love arguing in bad faith and having the world comprehension of a 2 year old. Never was it implied we'll overlook the crimes of someone else but three dimensional thinking can be hard with a dented head.

2

u/tiggertom66 6h ago

It’s impossible to take anything this administration says seriously.

I can’t accept their claims at face value because if they’re pursuing Omar for this, they should’ve been pursuing Melania years ago.

So until they provide some substantial evidence, what reason should the American people trust them?

1

u/AstrocreepTXUSMC 5h ago

What you take seriously is important. Notice how nobody asked how you feel about it? If your opinion mattered at all, this administration would be im trouble... i get it. I dont anticipate that day coming soon.

1

u/tiggertom66 4h ago

This administration is already in trouble, Trump’s approval rating is in the mid to low 30s across almost every poll. Even the polls that report a higher approval rating only report approval in the mid to high 30s. The vast majority of Americans disapprove of his performance.

Republicans are facing miserable polling ahead of midterms.

1

u/GanacheSufficient292 7h ago

Because all they hear is Trump and nothing else.

1

u/stiiii 6h ago

You are overlooking so yeah it is implied.

1

u/Leading_Tradition997 5h ago

Yeah her work visa was granted in '96 and she was naturalized when she married Trump in 2005... Work visas don't last that long. Math isn't mathing

1

u/Round-Arugula7347 4h ago

So did Elon! He lied about his education and work status

2

u/IndividualFar6408 9h ago

The only thing you are overlooking is where I stated that Trump should also be punished for crimes. If she committed immigration fraud then she can be punished too

-1

u/AnAnonymous121 9h ago

You're right

1

u/Healthy-Fee-9469 9h ago

Did she also become a millionaire as a public servant or did she marry into it (not her brother)

0

u/robertdood 9h ago

Maybe you've heard this extremely popular phrase on reddit. It's usually applied when people bring up other wars besides israel/palestine:

"We can focus on multiple things at once"

2

u/C21H27Cl3N2O3 7h ago

She didn’t commit immigration fraud. This is the third investigation into this same thing. She has yet to be prosecuted. This is the “lawfare” Republicans have complained about for years.

1

u/DankMemeMasterHotdog 6h ago

Oh you just know that she didnt commit any crimes for sure? Wild, you should put this ability to use in other fields, must be crazy to be gifted with omniscience, what are the lotto numbers for Powerball?

2

u/C21H27Cl3N2O3 6h ago

If you had bothered reading the very next sentence you would know that she has already been investigated for this same thing twice and neither found any evidence of a crime.

0

u/DankMemeMasterHotdog 6h ago

We'll see what the charges are when the government brings them, likely not related to those other cases if they are starting a new one. She's a sketchy POS

1

u/ProteanSurvivor 9h ago

What’s wrong with her financial records? Her husband is very successful

0

u/IndividualFar6408 9h ago

Look up the winery. It's sketchy at best.

0

u/Healthy-Fee-9469 9h ago

How did he do so well?

2

u/ProteanSurvivor 9h ago

His stakes in 2 business exploded is what I read online

1

u/yolo_184614 8h ago

If my business "exploded" like that, I would get investigated too. đŸ’©

-1

u/Healthy-Fee-9469 8h ago

Wow isn’t that convenient. Somali who is married to a congresswoman has not one but two businesses he has invested in, “explode”. Nothing questionable about that. I mean Pelosi and her husband outpace Buffet YOY. In 2023 her portfolio rose 65% compared to 15% for arguable the best in the business, Berkshire. Please continue believing what you read.

2

u/ProteanSurvivor 8h ago

I agree insider trading is bad. Trump has made more trades than any president in history. Has made billions since taking office. Any thoughts on that? Or it’s fine because he’s Republican?

0

u/Healthy-Fee-9469 4h ago

Deflect much? He was a billionaire when he came into office. Are you going to audit why Obama, Biden, Sanders and Pelosi all have net worths over 100 million on 6 figure salaries? Or is that ok bc they’re not Trump?

1

u/ProteanSurvivor 3h ago

I already agreed insider trading is bad none of them should be allowed to do it, are you illiterate? I didn’t deflect at all.

It’s ok for Trump to make billions insider trading because he was already a billionaire? That makes no sense

-1

u/ArcHeroe9 7h ago

Whataboutisms

Expecting consitent application of laws and punishment isn't whataboutism. It is mentally deficient to claim it is.

-2

Trump isn’t making the trades. He has people who do that, without his input.

3

u/teh_hotdogman 9h ago

people not understanding everyone can get some justice is always funny

1

u/One-Masterpiece-335 9h ago

The "for or against" mentality prevails here. Good luck in reddit with logic or pointing out *all* hte corruption. The truth is no well connected politician on the left or right ever goes to jail. A lot of fanfare exists to keep us plebs on the edge of our seats thinking that any day now the political problems will just fix themselves.

0

u/Glass_Emu_5104 8h ago

The well connected left don't commit crimes nearly as much as the well connected right, and they get off. The fact that you don't see that is bonkers. Develop a memory.

1

u/GanacheSufficient292 7h ago

Not true as much as you want it to be.

Well if you ignore all the fraud, corruption and grift, you'd be right.

I've always voted dem because the alternative was even worse but nonsense like this just gets my blood boiling. They always pick some frindge idea to defend or in this case a very likely crooked person instead of dealing with real issues. If the Dems insist on importing all 3rd world problems rather than solving our own, people will elect fascists and then we will have an even bigger problem.

Lol if you think this won't be in many ways similar to how his supporters were often made to squeal like piggies after his downfall you might be surprised!
