If Republicans cared about two or three real problems the way they care about this imaginary one, the USA would be unstoppable.

This is what pisses me off the most. So much time, energy and money wasted on nonsense culture wars when we could legitimately solve real problems in record time

The only explanation is they see themselves as profiting by keeping issues like healthcare, education and energy in a broken exploitative state.

This issue can mobilize the stupids without economically lifting up anybody.

That is why the culture wars are so important to the GOP. If people actually rallied together to fight the Robber Barons, the landscape would be far different.
