You need to be drunk or mentally deficient to believe any of this is true.

Alright, can you tell me if he supports medical transitioning or social transitioning without telling parents?

Let's see how honest you are.

Edit, since people seem to be struggling. The candidate supports SOCIAL transitioning without mandated reporting to parents specifically for child safety to protect from abusive parents. The poster above is implying that medical tranitions happen for kids without parental consent, this is not true.

Social transitioning allows children to explore any feelings of being trans without the potential long-term, lasting effects of medically transitioning. This is usually as simple as wearing different clothes or going by a nickname.

Edit 2, I might be wrong about the person above asserting medical transitions happen. Oh well, morning brain fog got me. Tldr: Social transitioning for a child who feels like they're trans is good.

There is not a single case where a minor had been received a medical transition. There is not a single case where someone forced a social transition.

If a child want to pretend to be another gender, its his right to do so. If he want to truly become another gender, it would be after 18 and still his right to do so.

Nobody is forcing them.

So what are you talking about?

I'm saying the candidate supports allowing students to socially transition without telling parents (ie clothes, nicknames, etc). I'm specifically pushing back on the propaganda that he supports medical transitions for children without parental approval.

Nobody said anything about forced social transitions at all?

If nothing is force, then do not force them to not do it either. If a child want to be called a nickname. Like "Bobby" instead of "Robert" do we need to ask his parents first?

Are you not reading my posts before replying? I'm on your side here...

I'm an not, and have never advocated for FORCED social transitioning.

The screenshot you're posting is my reply to someone implying this happens all the time and trying to get them to clarify themselves that this ISN'T about medical transition.

Parent your own kids.

Agreed! People should parent their own kids. The problem is, not every parent is a good parent. Allowing for kids to socially transition at school without telling parents is specifically designed to protect children from abusive parents.

Social transitioning has no longterm, lasting effects on someone medically. Its a way for a child who believes they're trans to explore that concept safely through clothes/nicknames/etc. Why is that a problem?

A parent that force his ideology over the welbeen of his children is not a good parent either.

2

u/musicaltrashpanda 6h ago

I didnt say a parent should force their ideology, just that parents should be parents.

A good parent will be someone their child feels safe disclosing this information to. A bad parent is someone who will reject and potentially abuse their child over this information. Allowing for social transitioning at school protects the children of bad parents.

I dont think we disagree here, do we?

2

u/amicalg 6h ago

Yes. A good parents will adress the situation considering the feeling of his children. I agree

2

u/musicaltrashpanda 6h ago

Right. So i don't understand why you're coming at me like I'm arguing with you. Good parents care about their child and their feelings. Bad parents want to control their children and don't care.

The candidate in question wants to protect the children of those bad parents.

They're saying social transitioning is good.
You seem to agree with that.

There's nothing to argue about

Thank you for being able to read.

I think the reason you’re getting pushback in this thread is because you responded to someone suggesting that any person who thinks kids are being medically transitioned in schools is mentally incapacitated.

You’re arguing with someone who isn’t against your position on parenting.

u/musicaltrashpanda 6h ago

Ngl I totally read that as if they were suggesting that medical transitions DO happen in school without parental notice.

You're probably right, maybe i should let myself wake up a bit before diving into hot topics on reddit lmao.

haha wow coming back to this thread an hour later has been funny. But yea, by now i'm sure you see what i meant by rough news; a good portion of the American populace is definitely stupid enough to believe this. Re-reading my comment i can see how it could be taken another way.
