I think they need to show supporting evidence of this. show me one school that will even provide your child with an Advil if you don't sign the permission form every single year? even if you signed last year- they need a new signature. but there are schools who want to transition children without any parental knowledge? prove it.
but trump wants you to believe that (probably in the same place where gas is $2 a gallon), there are schools that are just changing your kids gender, because...Democrats? they've also proven they don't know what socialism is this week, so I'm honestly afraid of how much worse it's going to get with the blatant lies and stupidity. such a shame.
Schools’ controlling bodies (boards, parishes etc.) are organizations like any other and can be sued. By putting in measures like this, the legal risk is hugely diminished. CYA. Hence, you see it in most schools.
They’ll point to school rules saying kids can change their gender markers, or be called by different names, and act like it’s the same thing. At the school where I work trans kids can ask to be referred to by a different name or gender in school vs. when communicating with their parents, and this protection against outing kids is enough to bring the bigots out.
I’m 100% with you on this topic. My wife has taught elementary school for 25-years, and gender transitions have never happened at her school. They do teach about human sexuality (at a level that is appropriate for 10-year olds), and to respect others who have various gender identities.
