If a large segment, dare I say a majority, of Americans have negative feelings about the American flag after what MAGA has done with it, just imagine how the rest of the world sees it now...
The difference being is that it is now the symbol of a fascist regime in control of all three branches of government, which is an entirely different (and far worse) situation than your example.
How dare you dictate who has a right to vote based on an opinion you disagree with. You sound like MAGA.
I have sworn an oath to the Constitution 6 different times. I have more than earned my right to speak freely about my opinion on the matter and maintain my unbroken voting record over 38 years.
Yep, MAGA isn't a random group. They're in charge at every level and STILL feel the need to find more ways to silence critics or anyone who disagrees with them
To quote the post above, âhow dare you dictate who has a right to vote based on an opinion you disagree with. You sound like MAGA.â Do you see how stupid that sounds? Sounds really stupid right? Did you know that Marxist based ideology has killed over 100 million people? How about we stop Authoritarianism? Bring back some true liberty.
No one is stopping you from speaking, but clearly you canât understand the difference.
If you had said the MAGA flag represent fascism, I would agree with you; instead you said the American flag represents it. The German flag did not represent fascism, the Nazi flag did. Being unable to separate the current government and whatever movement is coming along with it, and the flag that represents this nation (the good, bad, and ugly), makes me question your ability to think critically.
Taking an oath to this country doesnât mean youâve got some magic power, it was a choice that you made, just like millions of others; and if you think there is a domestic threat to the Constitution, you better do something about it. Also, by voting in career politicians over and over again is not the flex you think it is. Thereâs a reason corporations control our government, and you likely have played a big part in that.
Notice how I havenât used my voting record or service record to prove my point?
It is not a symbol of fascism. It is a symbol of this nation. It always has been and always will be, until this nation is no more.
Also fun fact, we still aren't a fascist state, otherwise you would disappear for openly criticizing the government. Remember freedom of speech is not allowed in any totalitarian state.
We have needed that course correction for at least 25 years. Every presidential administration has had red flags. If you are incapable of seeing that than you are the problem.
I am referring to one specific act made in 2001. But the rot within our government goes much much deeper than that. None of that changes what the flag represents.
There were warnings from bill clintons admin about that specific attack. They were ignored and not passed on to the next admin. Maybe it was arrogance or maybe they just let it happen. But that isn't even the specific act I was referring too.
You donât get to decide who votes or has internet. If you were a genius you wouldnât have that right. If you donât get that their assertion was these activities hurt the countryâs brand, thatâs ok. Negative feelings arenât all encompassing, but they can be a part of a symbol. Especially when the symbol is large enough to represent a country. Following their comment with what you did is poor. Do better.
