In case you didnt know:
Hugenberg had around half of the german press at "the time"
But even until 1943, press organisations were taken over by the party.
So the Picture shows the years before ~1934

In hindside it looks so naive. I am German and heard that all the time in school, that the biggest mistake was to understimate the Nazis. And now look at us, 93 years later we do the same shit again 😪

Turns out that helping someone attain absolute power while hoping that said dictator doesn't expropriate you nor promote ruinous policies is a fool's errand.
Same with these Russian oligarchs who thought that they could work with Putin.
