💬Discussion Can someone tell me the difference between the three archbishops of gluttony?
I personally want to know what difference between Lye, Roy, and Rui. Like their abilities or authority, and personality. I don’t mind much about light novel and webnovel spoilers. But please spoiler it for others who haven’t read it and don’t want to be spoiled. Thanks.

I would just wait for season 4 to finish, but if you must know:
[Arc 6]the authority of gluttony allows the user to eat the names and/or memories of people, simply by licking their palm after reciting the true name of said person.
[Arc 6]The skills and memories are then stored in the stomach of souls all three siblings share.
[Arc 6]They can then use these memories, abilities, and skills In a couple ways using ‘eclipse’
[Arc 6]eclipse is split into 2 main modes, solar and lunar. Lunar eclipse lets you use the memories abilities and skills people had in life with no major drawbacks. Solar eclipse allows you to transform into the person whose memories you are using, allowing you to bring out the full potential of them, at the cost of one’s sense of self.
[Arc 9]then there’s 2 specialized modes of eclipse unique to lye and Roy, lye has merged eclipse, where he essentially uses solar eclipse to utilize the memories and bodies of multiple people at once. Basically makes him the most skilled and wise person in the verse. Roy has Eclipse: binary, where instead of utilizing what memories he has in the stomach of souls, instead he causes others to re-experience their most painful memories 1-1. So if you broke a limb, you would feel the pain of that broken limb, as if your limb was actually broken.
Now onto personalities :
[Arc 6]lye only eats people who intrest him, and only uses the best abilities available. He is also a coward who will flee if the situation doesn’t favor him.
[Arc 9]Roy on the other hand eats anyone and everyone he can get his hands on, and he uses a fuckton of abilities all at the same time, he also has incredible adaptability in combat. Roy takes the most risks in combat, preferring to simply go “fuck it we ball”
[Arc 6]Rui doesn’t really care about eating people, and in combat she only really uses the bodies of people she’s eaten. She wants to be happy by experiencing the best life possible through the memories of others.
That’s only really a rough explanation of their personalities, but if you want to get a better picture, read the novels lol.

Rui has possession as an ability the others don’t seem to have, but Lye has had the best showing in combat. Roy doesn’t get love from the author and is currently in a Aura deficit he was -50 and the end of Arc 6 to -10 to then -200
