Rudeus is weird as hell and only grown men who likes kids and stays inside their basement 24/7 relates to him, subaru is much more relatable due to his flaws as a character(insecurity, entitlement on expecting rewards for doing good things and also being self destructive) subaru is the perfect representation on how some teenage boys actually feels and acts
