Tell the truth I’m long grow up from any ships obsession. Just give Subaru Emillia or better Satella to n the last chapter of the series. Or don’t give any. Over pouring everything with sweet syrup will completely ruin the dish. If talking seriously you he most reasonable would be Satella - if Subaru will remember why he loves her. Any other characters simply don’t go through any normal phases of relationships.

Tbh Im probably gonna get some hate for this, but let’s go anyway.
I honestly hate the Subaru x Emilia ships bc its just pathetic how head over heels he is for a woman who likely doesn’t love him outside of a friendship or maybe even Emilia seeing him as a brother or just a protector, plus, Subaru could have literally anyone he wanted, as of course Rem has a massive crush on him, Satella (although a bad ship) obviously loves him, Felix (I know hes a boy) he has shown to put Subaru’s life before his own in quite a few chapters of the anime and manga, and Felt too as if it weren’t for Subaru she would’ve died during the trade between Old Man Rom and Elsa so it’d be likely that Felt has grown a small crush on Subaru even if its not confirmed. Then we have to mention the obvious of Shaula showing a great love for Subaru as he is her Master, then Echidna constantly tries to get Subaru’s attention during the second seasons of the anime plus showing her affection to him through giving him her “special tea” (we all know what was actually in that tea). So Subaru could have literally anyone he wants, even if they’re not on that list, as with Return By Death, he could learn what leads to what or learn what {Insert Name} likes, if he ever wanted to date someone else or if he wanted to go straight down the Lust Route.

eh I think you're being too harsh on Emilia. To say she is emotionally stunted would be an understatement, she is still getting used to the fact that people actually like her and care for her. Instead of seeing her as Hitler 2.0. She already in love with Subaru that much is clear, without going into spoiler territory she will move heaven and earth to help him out of a bind.
