Ram is overall portrayed better in season 1 and immediately gets along with Subaru better than Rem does.

as a nicer person, probly

most of her personality issues come as a result of rem's erasure

i.e. her sudden infatuation with roswaal due to him now suddenly being the only person who has ever supported her

she is a straight asshole to subaru for like no valid reason beyond subaru now being roswaal's special boy tho
