Looks oks real to me, all the whiskers are "right" .

If the "something looks off" is his slightly asymmetric face, i think its just a trick of the light/his patterning, not an AI artifact.

If you see any other photos, see if his fur matches

Not AI as far as I can tell. Put your phone in portrait mode (this creates (artificially and realistically depending on your phone's camera) a shallow depth of field where close objects are in focus but anything slightly behind the main focal point are out of focus/blurry, along with the perspective distortion in the face), get fairly close with moderate light and you can recreate this photo quite easily.

it simply looks like a very high quality photo of a cat probabpy taken by a hobby photographer

Whiskers looks bit too sharp to me? But I wouldn't say it's AI generated. Maybe AI enchanted but I am not 100% sure about that either.

I mean, he looks like a regular cat to me, but still photos of known objects are where AI excels. However this guy looks real. Cats have that stupid look on their faces when they look up and you photograph from the correct angle.

cats are just weird sometimes highkey

i think the only oddity is if its front paws are making wrinkles in the couch then why aren't its back paws doing the same, but i'm unsure if that's a matter of weight distribution or not

Yea, it looks too perfect. I guess its partially ai, a photo was put into ai to make it neater.
