This year delhi is getting frequent power cuts which never happened in AAP or CONGRESS rule. What would be the reason behind this? Do you have data for this too?

Apart from this many projects marked as complete related to water without real work on the ground, for example check one by sister of tina dabi where she/her office- uploaded marriage card instead of actual work for mark completion of ā€œjal shakti projectā€. Cannot post link here otherwise would have. This government has legalised corruption, fake or no data where it matters, thats all.

u/Miserable_Ferret_158 Jul 28 '26

Well AAP actually did introduce a lot of freebies in delhi (water and electricity) wasting a lot of taxpayer moneys to please vote banks. As a delhite i think it as an undergoing cleanup of the previous govt. Though I would look into the sources you mentioned

2

u/maihoonaa Jul 28 '26

Still were able to provide electricity with negligible power cuts and central government appointed administrator acting as opposition.

2

u/Warm-Gap5573 Jul 28 '26

down the line someone pays for freebies

1

u/Jazzlike-Might-8298 Teen Jul 28 '26

Freebie culture in india is very hurtful for our country but it is necessary for any party to win. People especially in India want quick and immediate satisfaction not lang term growth. more than 2% of our gdp (80 billion$) is just freebies. Some freebies are good while others like the ones AAP introduced is straight up dogs**t.

2

u/Bigus_dickus_the_1st Jul 29 '26

Even Bjp has shit ton of freebies dawg

Delhi govt just introduced Delhi Lakshmi yojana which 2500 per month to women. Around 5.1k crores is the budget.

Chhattisgarh literally spend 1k crores in 27 months on just advertising. Thats around 1.3 cr daily for advertisement alone.

1

u/InterleukinAnakinra Jul 28 '26

Freebies are a universal party tactic. Not just certain parties.

1

u/papa_perez_loves_Var Aug 03 '26

Btw the one created by AAP had a usage limit, if you cross that you'll pay the full amount. Imo, this would an incentive rather than a freebie. Idk what the reels are feeding you, but this is how it was in Delhi and is in Punjab now. This model is widely used by a lot of developing countries to incentivise less usage

2

u/CarlosJainz Jul 28 '26

Well this year has much higher electricity consumption then previous yrs, also power cuts toh aap ke time pr bhi hote hai

1

u/maihoonaa Jul 28 '26

Needed inverter first time here

1

u/CarlosJainz Jul 28 '26

Where u even live

40

u/GluKoto Jul 27 '26

I find this data a bit hard to believe.

A 5x growth on rural water supply in 6 years seems a bit too far of a stretch.

I am gonna need more source on this than just a tweet.

37

u/WeAreInsects Jul 27 '26

Well, my nana-nani's house is in a very small village. I remember that when I was a kid, I never liked going there because of the frequent power cuts, having to go to the jungle near a small river to take a shit, and bringing water for bathing and drinking from hand pumps.

But over the last few years, especially after 2018, almost every house has got basic facilities. Houses have been built under the PM housing scheme, there's tap water, toilets, 24x7 electricity, and much better connectivity.

The funniest part? In the city I still don't get proper 5G speeds, but in the village they have blazing-fast True 5G. That's just peak irony.

One thing I clearly remember from my childhood is their political thinking. Around 2008 or 2010, if I remember correctly, people used to say: "Haath ke panje ko vote denge. Haath hamare kitne kaam aata hai, isse hum kaam karte hain, kamate hain. Kamal ka phool kisi kaam nahi aata."

That was their mindset back then. Today, the entire village and most of the neighboring villages are solid BJP supporters.

So, regardless of your own political ideology, you have to appreciate that something significant changed. This is the core vote bank of the BJP.

Is the name "CP Gram"?

1

u/confusedpersonality1 Jul 28 '26

In my grandparents village they laid water pipe underground but never connected it with overhead tank or provided taps to every home.

Electricity is also irregular. In this summer I went there to visit my grandparents and due to heavy rain and storm, wires got broken and there was no electricity for 4 days straight.

2

u/Savings_Light9106 Jul 28 '26

Same here, in electricity especially like I have seen the changes, it doesn't go like usual at all, where previously you had to prepare for it,

People don't like to hear the truth because it will harm the identity they have made out of opposing x party.

How long can you call someone a bigot when everybody but you (Cause you are too pretentious to notice) has seen positive changes and want more, people have made a mockery of the term racist, bigot and facist, using it Willy nilly on anyone who doesn't just parrot what they say

2

u/yours4you Jul 28 '26

Ny grandpa used to give same dialogue.

2

u/Enough-Leadership123 Jul 29 '26 edited Jul 29 '26

In my Village issues were almost none decade back even after no tap water availability.

Now, tap water available but frequency unclear, sometimes not available for 5-10days, dependent borewell are polluted so no fallback other than buying water. Same goes for electricity max I can recount is 70 days. Every year Electricity goes for walk for about 5-10days and they won't do a shit unless they are fed some money

2

u/underground-chicken Jul 29 '26

Same bjp has destroyed cities infra and roads. See the condition of roads now in cities

1

u/har_har_gobhi Jul 30 '26

24*7 electricity is not even in a city like gorakhpur, I don't know which rural area you are talking about.

0

u/Adventurous_Item_272 Jul 27 '26

Delhi has started facing more outages after BJP. Lol

24

u/Jazzlike-Might-8298 Teen Jul 27 '26

Actually it did happen, i beleive its almost 100% now. + electrification also took place in rural areas.

21

u/Global_Specialist425 Jul 27 '26

add to it availability of lpg per household. I visited sikkim first in 2015 and next in 2024. Was amazed to see water pipelines even in remote villages during my second visit. LPG electricity was available easily too.Ā

2

u/areyouabovesky Jul 28 '26

Actually Sikkim had complete access to water and LPG even in 2015.

1

u/Global_Specialist425 Jul 28 '26

Don’t remember seeing that in Dongzu. still remember trekking to get the water to the monastery. but now water pipeline comes directly thereĀ

1

u/areyouabovesky Jul 28 '26

Dzongu had water as far as I know. Infact Dzongu has abundency of natural source of water.

1

u/Global_Specialist425 Jul 28 '26

They still do Just that Jaljeevan scheme wasn’t there in 2015. We still had to trek to the valley stream to fetch water them. now the tap runs close to the homesĀ

1

u/areyouabovesky Jul 28 '26

Listen I am from Sikkim, believe me when I am telling you there was water in Dzongu in 2015. Sikkim govt. was actively distributing water pipes since 2000s as a subsidy for farmers, may be it was one time thing when you reached there and the water ran dry and you had to fetch it from a valley.

1

u/Global_Specialist425 Jul 28 '26

I don’t doubt you bro. Just share my experience when we came for a camp to dongzu in 2015. We were there for a fortnight with a group of Social Service workers. We trekked everyday to the nearby valley stream with the guys to get water. In 2024 when i visited the same place they told me that they now have taps running near their home with kaleem scheme. That was my experience and i shared it.Ā

0

u/rishim Jul 27 '26

I think it's closer to 120% - 100% was already complete in 2025.

0

u/maps_and_books Jul 27 '26

Data regarding electricity is plausible. I have witnessed it in my village but the claims regarding tap water is complete horse shit

3

u/OfficeSlight3090 Jul 27 '26

Not horse shit, might be over exaggerated but I do have seen availability of clean tap water in my village

3

u/Life_Opportunity2872 Jul 27 '26

It is not horse shit for my village though

1

u/Sensitive_Buffalo665 Jul 28 '26

Disprove it.

Don't know about your Village but..my village is near the pakistan border and there are so many villages there...I think all of the villages there now have 24*7 electricity until or unless we see something really bad weather condition..tap waters in almost all villages....and specially the roads...it's widen...and not sure about quality as we don't really see rains much..but a lot has changed...u can come and visit...

4

u/Volydxo Jul 27 '26

My native state is Jharkhand, a non BJP state (I am pointing it so people don't start blaming me for being bhakt and nonsense), and yes, the tap water access has actually improved mainly in outskirts of JSR area. Every home now has water pileline connection, but the road condition is still like 1990s.

1

u/underground-chicken Jul 29 '26

Credit goes to non bjp state government

2

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '26

This did happen in my village in punjab. We used to pump water with the help of hand pump now there is water tank with in 50 100 meter of our house from where you can fill filtered water.

1

u/RaspberryEntire5757 Jul 28 '26

Who are you ? Anna hazare?

1

u/vitrum_analytika Jul 28 '26

IIRC they changed the definition of what proper sanitation infrastructure is, and any public tap water within a 1km radius is considered accessible (or something like that not exactly 1 km, maybe less). The previous standard was pretty strict in its quality levels.

1

u/nikssap41 Jul 28 '26

Modi bad... Modi chaiwala... Manmohan Singh Oxford economist... heard all this 100 times. Ok fine, lets talk actual numbers then, since everyone keeps asking "show me stats". These are not from BJP IT cell, these are World Bank and UN numbers, go check yourself.

Tap water - in Aug 2019 only 17% of rural households had tap water connection (3.23 crore). Today its around 81% (15.7 crore+). In 6 years. You can see live data yourself on ejalshakti.gov.in/jjmreport

Extreme poverty - World Bank report 2025 (not government report, WORLD BANK) says extreme poverty fell from 16.2% in 2011-12 to 2.3% in 2022-23. Thats 171 million people out of extreme poverty. Rural poverty went 18.4% → 2.8%. Search "World Bank India Poverty and Equity Brief"

UN numbers - UNDP + Oxford university MPI report says 415 million Indians came out of multidimensional poverty between 2005 to 2021. And before someone says "that includes Congress years" - yes it does, 275M came out in 2005-2015 and 140M in just 5 years 2015-2021. So the speed actually INCREASED. Its on undp.org, go read.

Plus 100% village electrification in 2018, 10 crore+ Ujjwala gas connections, 50 crore+ Jan Dhan accounts, and UPI doing more transactions than rest of the world combined.

Im not saying BJP is perfect. They have bad decisions and bad people in there government also, every party does. But in there 16-17 yrs total (Vajpayee + Modi) they did more for poorest of India than Congress did in 60+ years, and now international institutions data is showing it also.

And this whole "rural people are uneducated thats why they vote Modi" thing from left liberals is honestly insulting. I live in tier 1 city now but I come from smallest of villages where 16+ hrs load shedding was normal thing till 2014-15. Those villagers are not stupid, they lived the before and after. They vote for Modi becuase there life actually changed. Thats not WhatsApp propaganda, thats World Bank and UN saying it.

1

u/underground-chicken Jul 29 '26

Same bjp has destroyed cities infra and roads. See the condition of roads now in cities especially mumbai after bjp came to power

1

u/nikssap41 Jul 29 '26

There is whole thing on Mumbai roads and how Shivsena led BMC ran into it most corrupt contractors getting tenders. But that's not my point in above comment.

As I said in my comment itself, BJP is not perfect. Its like any other organisation/party, some good and some bad people, some good and some bad decisions. What irritates me is when people talk like BJP is the worst thing that happened to India and Congress was the best thing. Both are not true, everything has pros and cons and people need to think from that angle.

That said, I 100% agree we as people need to hold BJP accountable when they go wrong. My problem is opposition is not doing that job. I still remember 2-3 rs gas price increase would put Sushma Swaraj and entire BJP on the road and shut the country down. Today BJP has given SO many openings to attack them, problematic decisions, corruption in some ministries. But LOP is busy travelling abroad 7-8 months a year and only remembers reservation when elections are near. Thats not opposition, thats vacation with occasional politics.

Current Congress leadership looks inept and incompetent, and thats actually bad for the country. Strong opposition keeps ruling party honest. We dont have that right now and thats a bigger problem than potholes.

And before someone asks "then why not vote Congress" - because like I said, current leadership looks incompetent. Let them prove themselves by being a better LOP first, votes will come automatically. Thats exactly what BJP did for years and years in opposition before getting there chance. Congress needs to do the same grind, theres no shortcut back to power.

I still remember in our area people would blindly vote Hand and Watch (NCP) without even checking who the local candidate was, because trust was simple - Congress will do good at center. That trust has now shifted to BJP. Its Congress's job to flip it back and only way is doing what BJP did in opposition - highlight every single thing govt does wrong, be on the ground, be loud, be everywhere.

And one more thing Left & Congress needs to understand. India is not like western countries where individual identity and country's identity are 2 separate things. For a normal common Indian both are same, if you insult India you insult him. So this habit of going abroad and attacking India on foreign soil day in day out backfires every single time. Go through old news, BJP in opposition mostly stood with Congress govt whenever it was India vs outside world, they fought inside the country, not outside. Congress does the opposite and then wonders why common voter feels disconnected from them.

1

u/CHATPATTIMIA Jul 28 '26

u/Basic-Network-4878 Jul 29 '26

1

u/Then_Education6559 Jul 29 '26

My village in goa used to have at max 10-12 hrs of electricity before 2020 now it is 24x7

1

u/Important_Jicama_788 Jul 29 '26

Bro actually it's real and tbh this is a huge achievement of this govt in rural areas.

1

u/nosedigging Jul 29 '26

Constantly shared with info graphics. I'm pretty anti Modi but let's not pretend that electrification and jal Jeevan mission has not happened.

30

around 800 indians were killed in 2008 due to bombings and terror attacks.........very kind history sir.

6

u/FoundationUseful270 Jul 27 '26

Yes, 0 terror attacks, 0 corruption, 0 paper leaks, no utility price increase, no tax increase, 1st in all indexs after 2014. Oh and inflation, lets change the formula base year. Oof, they must be working overtime

20

u/Equivalent_Face_9746 Jul 27 '26

Congress should be the last one to question terror attacks, paper leak, corruption and utility price increase šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

2

u/FoundationUseful270 Jul 27 '26

Yes, congress is in the center, so we should ask them. Wait, let me ask Nehru.

-3

u/Piyush2point Jul 27 '26

I don't think that guy mentioned Congress in his comment. Also I don't know what the hell is wrong with you people. Whenever someone writes about how bad BJP is doing you literally bring back what Congress did in the past.

We chose BJP because it made claims about improving conditions of living and critiziced the government for their shortcomings but now they're doing the exact same thing. 2000 cr scam for AIIMS Dharbhanga, 2300 cr used in promotion of Modi as revealed by RTI, Another minor raped by BJP member recently, Maximum Number of Rapists in a political party, so many people got tickets even though they had spent years in jail and has connections with terrorists I got the link kyo the post with names mentioned etc

I can go on and on about it and I can even give you a personal example. Our names were registered for this fresh water supply thing. 16 flats in my building and 10-11 people applied for it we filled the forms and submitted it. So they are counting us in it but it's been almost 2 years now and not even one person in my entire area has gotten the supply. Maybe a few who got connections but no one in my street.

Look at the image and how they manipulate us with the data on paper. I have explained so many BJP supporters with the help of AI. I am not even a Congress or AAP supporter but I fking love doing this

8

u/Loud_Supermarket_191 Jul 27 '26

Congress opposed the paper leak bill just now

How will you defend it

1

u/Piyush2point Jul 27 '26

Did you just watch a simple line posted by a BJP supporter to create a false narrative? I saw one post and I was in total disbelief that there's no way they are gonna do such a thing at such a crucial moment.

Then luckily someone wrote that they wanted investigations of police brutality against students but again the IT cell wrote one simple thing and people started believing it. Look at the screenshot I posted.

2

u/Academic-Distance749 Jul 27 '26

Yupp i thought the same and then just searched ones and got the result. People here are too lazy and brainless that they will accept any image info and make it as a point on something they are supporting, confirmation bias with laziness at its peak

3

u/Evening_Frosting2489 Jul 27 '26

They did not oppose it, they protested because the government wants to have no discussion about the police brutality against protesters and who in gods name allowed pellet guns to be fired at the protest, under who's orders specifically. Stop falling for IT Cell propaganda.

10

u/Loud_Supermarket_191 Jul 27 '26

Why not let the bill pass and protest

3

u/Global_Specialist425 Jul 27 '26

you won’t get an answerĀ

3

u/IntolerableSage Jul 28 '26

Well, they can let the bill pass and then disrupt the sessions like they're doing right now. In my opinion, it's foolish to prevent the bill from being passed.

This is also a way of scoring brownie points with the general public because, even if a discussion is held, it won't lead to any clear outcome. The opposition will question the central government over the police brutality at Jantar Mantar, while the Centre will question state governments over incidents of police brutality in their respective states. It will just be a waste of time.

So, in my opinion, they should let the bill pass first and then disrupt the sessions if they want to. They can waste time and our money after the bill has been passed, because both sides seem to be good at doing just that.

1

u/Global_Specialist425 Jul 28 '26

Just read the new in the hindu that karnataka police under congress government has filed firs on people protesting against neet leaks.Ā

2

u/Disastrous_Body9196 Jul 28 '26

Opposition Stance: Opposition parties continuous disruptions and sloganeering that forced the adjournment of both Houses were centered on demanding accountability and a formal government statement regarding the reported police crackdown and use of force on students during a Parliament march on July 20. Some members separately flagged concerns that the bill focuses heavily on post-leak penalties rather than technological prevention.

I live in rural part of Assam. Tap water supply doesn't work anywhere in nearby villages. They did build the infrastructure, but then stopped working after a few months. And it is one of the arsenic contaminated areas of east India.

Idk about Manmohan Singh, but there's a huge difference between completing a milestone on paper vs the ground reality.

3

India has improved so much under Modi, people can hate him if they want, I will never. My own village. People and things I can see myself. Those who haven't witnessed the rule of Congress, Akhilesh, Lalu etc, only they want to bring them back.

Thank fuck Modi happened to India. History will be kinder to Modi.

3

u/ray_action Jul 27 '26

A friend whose family was in Congress in 2019 told me that on ground change in rural areas is quite enormous. They were not surprised that BJP had a landslide victory in 2019. Implementation is not always uniform but majority did gain from various schemes run by the government especially around LPG and housing schemes targeting women.

And that tap brings dirty and hard water

1

u/VVS_09 Jul 27 '26

Tap water was available in 90's, a cluster of villages had an overhead water tank from which water was supplied in morning and evening but due to lack of maintenance and push on India mark hand pump, this system was allowed to degrade, now they have done nothing new, they have just maintained the previous system.

1

u/maps_and_books Jul 27 '26

Come on. This is only on paper. Nothing on ground. It's just a scheme for the bureaucrat to embezzle government funds.

1

u/snowandclouds Jul 27 '26

Manmohan Singh as finance minister during PVN’s government did great.

But Manmohan Singh as prime minister was very bad, weak, controlled.

1

u/zubi_dubi_zubi_dubi Jul 27 '26

I never went to my dad’s village in Bihar because they had close to zero electricity and water. Now my mom and dad visit there frequently because they have 24x7 supply of water and electricity maybe gone for like 2-3hrs a day compared to when it was for a stretch of 2-3 days.

1

u/FitFinance2669 Jul 27 '26

This is absolutely true. Theyve done an amazing job at the ground level.

1

u/ppknm Jul 27 '26

Through the Jal Jeevan Mission they really implemented the water supply scheme. I saw either they construct overhead water tank or they construct well near pond. Also houses in "Gaaothan" get's free connection with plumbing accessories. It depends on Grampanchayat to collect monthly water charges.

They have changed the criteria, like they always do.

Remember the construction of highways, for 1km of 4 lane highways is now considered 4km. Talk about pollution, rupee, safety, quality of life.

1

u/mountain-of-books Jul 27 '26

Using lead in petrol is not polluting ft. Studies by oil companies.

Govt data nowadays is mostly unreliable.

1

u/Centeredrightbhakt05 Jul 27 '26

In my village every house now has a water pipeline. Earlier almost everyhouse had one borewell. But since we live near to coast the water is preety hard.

Now I see those borewell getting rusted. Not just water my relatives said now they have electricity almost throughout the summer which was not possible before 2017. However last year two years has been again terrible with power cuts. Not as bad as before but power cut has increased in last 2 years.

1

u/AzureDragon7 Jul 28 '26

It's actually true, as someone coming from a village. I wouldn't say that dramatic increase but supply water became more accessible to villages in recent years. It has a major role of both state and central government.

1

u/Stoner_painter Jul 28 '26

If this is accurate then good but with this govt it’s hard to believe.

They manipulated data to show how access to toilets has increased as well. The way did it was to include all the people whose even remote relative have a toilet. (My friend was in one of the team who was forced to do this for better data)

1

The statistic isn’t false but it most definitely is incomplete.
The government reports installing around 12.5 crore additional rural tap connections since 2019. But a tap connection is not the same as assured drinking water. Government commissioned assessments found that only about 76% of surveyed households met all functionality criteria, including adequate quantity, regular supply and potable quality. Even the CAG has questioned reported coverage figures in some states due to discrepancies in implementation and reporting. So presenting ā€œ125 million households got tap waterā€ as if it means ā€œ125 million households now enjoy reliable, safe waterā€ is misleading.
The CAG has questioned implementation and reporting in several states. For example, its audit of Maharashtra found that reported coverage figures included private household tap connections that were not created under the Jal Jeevan Mission, inflating the apparent achievement. After excluding these, actual JJM coverage was substantially lower than officially claimed for the state. The audit also identified serious deficiencies in planning, execution and maintenance. So well!

Calling anyone who appreciates Manmohan Singh a ā€˜dishonest historian’ isn’t an argument, it’s an attempt to discredit facts by insulting people. History is judged by evidence, not by Twitter slogans.

Taps toh lag gye panni kab ayega?? (Hard to believe even so many taps were fixed)

1

u/[deleted] Jul 28 '26

It’s just access to tap, not tap water

1

u/floater_byss Jul 28 '26

Its a typo, rural houshold got access to taps and not water

There is difference between giving access and the thing actually working . Forget about people in poverty , there are severe fluctuations in water supply in Laxmi nagar , one of the most prominent places in delhi .

1

u/crabantennae Jul 28 '26

So what are the water tankers running all day for?

1

u/Financial_Guard9911 Jul 28 '26

Every Govt does some good work...Bjp has also done their share of good work in first 5 years..After corona no solid policy..one new iit or iim or asia level colleges medical or belonging to any other profession is not built..everything on paper..quality of education is as bas as quality of roads..

1

u/TodayInMyMind Jul 28 '26

TANKER MAFIA LAUGHING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD

1

u/peze000 Jul 28 '26

Fake data fake gdp everything is fake in the government Even my village spent million but water supply not yet provided they destroyed all RCC road name of jal shakti yojna

1

u/Legitimate_Pass_6899 Jul 28 '26

My parents are government school teachers. They told me that, while conducting the 2026–27 Census, they are being pressured to report that 100% of households have access to piped water, housing, electricity, and LPG connections. However, according to them, the actual coverage is not even 30–40%.

1

u/nikssap41 Jul 28 '26

1

u/OwnStorm Jul 28 '26

Although the data is correct on paper but the credible implementation is far from reality, in this case.

Copied my own comment from another thread...

Govt just put some third grade plastic pipe and then brass taps to show the quality, which hardly get water for 2 hours. No maintenance or checking in 2 years. That's the Tap Water coverage for you.

However, need to call out citizens as well who steal the taps and don't care about wasting the water.

1

u/Alternative_Fig_7100 Jul 28 '26

You screwed up the ground water and now made people dependent on tap water, that’s a saas based progress that no one wanted.

1

u/SapotaJuice Jul 28 '26

Historians who understand India well and those who are able to put themselves in the past would definitely be able to understand. These are things any government would've done since 2014. After 2012, India has encountered growth in multiple sectors, some of it fortuitous. LeT declined due to multiple factors, including the rise of ISIS. Fact is, any narrative can be painted. It's the people whose biases that'll decide which narratives to follow. A lot of things have played into BJP's hands.

This is data on paper. Ground reality is far from it.

1

u/Dumdumdadadadumdum Jul 28 '26

So by that logic , all the data you will use "against" this govt is too subjected to the same ? If you stand by that only then are you consistent in logic in your own system ?

1

u/Witty_Active Jul 28 '26

Cities like Delhi, Mumbai don’t have connections and depend on early morning tankers in so many localities so I’m a little sceptical about this data.

But Fs it would have improved a lot in the last 10 years, but that is what development is.

1

u/kingsnowsand Jul 28 '26

Don't fall for such posts. It's a known tactics, throwing random number without sources. It originates from some non-peer review govt funded study gets published with dubious methodology. Then IT cells makes some graphics for sharing in social media and then all the andh bhakts treat those social media posts as gospel. If you try to dig, in most cases you wont find the sources, and if you find any source, they won't provide any details on the survey conducted. Just some ramdom word salad thrown together. They don't even have the knowledge to fake these stuff. Even though it's very easy to fake it.

1

u/AdIntrepid5347 Jul 29 '26

There is a lot of infra buildup but working taps I don’t see a lot of

1

u/arunkarnan Jul 29 '26

From rural india, This stats are completely fake , nothing is in reality. Just visit a village get to see. These toilets and tap water data are completely fake or manipulated. Worst thing Manufacturing fake data like this will only further worsen it.

1

u/Lighterguy28 Jul 29 '26

Can't back the data or argue about it but my village and similar villages around us are the one which got benifitted by it. Denied water connection for an long time(like my grandfather time) but within a year of introducing this scheme it got sanctioned and whole process completed within a month. We got water by end of 2nd month.

We saw the times when asked we need to use vehicle to get water or need to walk for long distance the reply from the then government congress was that walking is healthier so please walk and some of them told state government approval pending and state government told Sonia ji approval pending and stuff.

As for me this worked good and it's one the best initiative and an immensely successful one.

1

u/Relaxed-_- Jul 29 '26

It is not because of bjp government or so. It is just that with time people adapt new technology and improvise.Ā

I think Modi took some shitty decisions, but that doesn't mean I consider robotmohan gold.

MMS as FM was the best. But he's one of the worst PMs this country ever had.

1

u/gaurav0610 Jul 29 '26

Bhai, people in Delhi still don't get a reliable water supply, and you expect me to believe that this liar managed to provide water to rural areas?

1

1

Here comes a propagandu.

1

u/Timely-Jury8473 Jul 29 '26

Basic things have improved, water, lpg , electrification of houses and railways, khet-shitting has reduced due to government measures but many indians are retarded so do go back to default- not a government issue here.

1

u/lazemax768 Jul 29 '26

Many of you do realise a lot of the work, the permits, many things were already in motion before the BJP came into power. It's not like zero foundation today and voila! Water and electricity the very next day.

Not saying bjp didn't do anything.

1

u/Underguy3022 Jul 29 '26

Most cities in India are about to lose ground water btw, and I am talking about tier 1-2 cities here.

1

u/dare2-dream Jul 30 '26

They are right. Take a look at the railway stations, they are spotless in most areas. If public lacks civic sense there isn’t much a government can do.
Piped drinking water is now available in most villages in Kerala as part of the central initiative, medicines are available at a good discount from Nidhi stores. The quality of rice and essentials distributed via PDS stores are too good. Definitely there has been an increase in general sanitisation. The highways have improved but there is scope for more progress.

1

u/Any_Manufacturer4550 Jul 30 '26

In my opinion 90% basic amenities have reached across all corners of India after 2014 …. But there are too many leftist MCs on Reddit who disagree

1

u/No_Caterpillar7135 Jul 30 '26

Ground reality is different beta

1

u/InflationHeavy2955 Jul 31 '26

Is this basic requirement of any govt or because your expectations from the govt is so low that you think basic services is a flex of the govt .

No govt deserves praise for doing the basic job they are payed for.

1

u/Top_Tank_821 Aug 01 '26

Most of the PM have had their pros and cons I think we are just half fed with info.

I'm not disagreeing tht they have not done their work. They have done it and achieved it aswell, but the level of success and what gets showed to us is completely different

1

u/Logical_Victory_2 Aug 01 '26

Mere gaanv me bhi kara do - its in hadoti section of kota rajasthan -

1

u/msourabh91 Aug 02 '26

How come every rural area I have stayed in falls in that 16.7%? This data has to be bs.

1

u/EscapeBusy4432 Aug 02 '26

The data is wrong , niti ayog hasn't said anything like this , but there is always an upward trend in basic amenities for people as time passes by. More over that he was an excellent PM , there were many attempts to tarnish his name. Like the "COAL"gate scam for which recently the supreme court has deemed him not guilty along with no involvement.

1

u/curedwithdelimma Aug 16 '26

Bhai, humane Delhi - Ashok Vihar m paani aana Band hogaya plus jab atta hai, it's like muddy and smelly. Upar se MCD wale abh time pe road nahi baana rhe. 2 saal hogaye sahi road ko todke.

In AAP era, kabhi electricity nahi jaati thi. Now, its becoming common.

0

u/msiajuha Jul 27 '26

These figures refer to households reported by states and union territories as having a tap-water connection. They do not necessarily mean every connected household continuously receives safe, sufficient water!

0

u/Fun-Accident-6907 Jul 27 '26

It looks good on paper. But has anyone verified the actual ground reality of these claims?
