Admin Responded Anyone here using Reddit Pro? Is it actually useful?

Hey everyone, I handle social for a small custom jewelry brand and we're thinking about trying Reddit Pro. I've read the official stuff but it doesn't really answer what I want to know, so figured I'd ask people who've actually used it.

A few things I'm stuck on:

Does karma still matter when you post from a Pro account, or is it the same as any other account?

Do mods treat Pro posts differently? Or do the usual self-promo rules still apply and posts get removed the same way?

If you've tried ads alongside organic posting, how did that go? Was it worth the spend for a tiny brand?

Anything you wish you'd known before starting?

We're not trying to spam anyone. I'd rather figure out how to show up in the right communities properly than get banned in a week. Any honest experience, good or bad, would really help. Thanks!

Hi, Thank you for reaching out to us.

We understand your concern regarding Reddit pro.

Reddit Pro is primarily an organic/business intelligence and engagement tool, rather than an advertising product. It is currently free for eligible businesses and organizations.

Reddit Pro is free and can help small businesses discover relevant communities, find conversations, and track organic performance.

- Karma: Pro doesn’t give you extra karma or special posting privileges.

  • Moderation: The usual Reddit and subreddit rules still apply. Self-promotion can get posts removed.
  • Ads: Reddit Ads can complement organic activity, but start with a small test budget and track actual sales.
  • My advice: Be transparent about your brand, contribute useful content, and check community rules before promoting.

Thank you, Reddit Ads Team.

OP, check recent AutoModerator removal replies in your target communities for age and karma requirements.

Yeah, it's solid. Not the most robust tool ever, but it's can be useful for seeing how much visibility your posts and comments are getting and whether links you post are being clicked.

Mostly useful for research and discovery when it comes to creating campaigns or looking for subreddits honestly.
