Im working on doing the same in my new tank. What is your filtration like? I've seen people say carbon is a must have for heavy nem systems.

I definitely went cheap/unorthodox with it. I bought pvc sheets (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B093MLLMYJ?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title) and drilled holes/glued plastic screens on them. Then formed a box and siliconed it into the corner of the tank, perfect size to fit a Tunze Comline DOC Protein Skimmer 9001 (would HIGHLY recommend on small tank) (and an auto top off sensor and heater).
Then I just cut a plastic basket in half and siliconed it to the top of the tank to form a “hanging refugium” of sorts where I have some bioballs and macroalgae.
It sounds complicated but it was actually very easy and cheap if you have a saw and drill. Basically made it a homemade AIO.
I have never read about the carbon in nem systems but also never really looked into it

If you do return, I really love the look of it in a cube. And the petcos around me are coming out with their own line of tanks that are all 50% off all the time including 30 and 60g cubes.
But anyway, I always wondered do the different colored BTAs get along??

Yeah they never really bother each other I also had a mini carpet nem in my tank as well. I think the wife is fed up with my hobby lol 😆

Super awesome would love to grab some if you've ever got too many and need to remove a few, keep me in mind and feel free to dm 😁. Also you can definitely keep other colors of bubble tip with them, I would stay away from any bubble that has nexus in its description though as I have heard they are slightly different, tend to be smaller and will sometimes cause territory issues.
