MMHMM DRV Pedal Question
I missed out on the MMHMM DRV Pedal through 1981 Inventions. Can anyone tell me if the differences between this pedal and the other DRV pedals were cosmetic only (the artwork, signatures, etc.), or if it produced a unique sound? I want to try and get the MMHMM sound, and was wondering if one of the other DRV pedals would do the trick just as good. Thanks.

They're like 99% the same circuit, any DRV pedal can get that sound

I have the a DRV from the very first run and can confirm it is solid at nailing the mmhmm sound. Highly recommend the LVL and stacking it too.

“YESDRV” knocks off $50 from a DRV pedal right now. The bass/guitar one is tempting, but I already have a few DRVs.

I think its pretty similar with slight mods. The coolest part is he includes some recommended knob settings to recreate certain songs

I have this pedal and another DRV. I’m pretty sure Matt mentioned some minor circuit modifications to make it a little more MMHMM (really, just more gain), but it’s really just the DRV2. There are a ton of slight variations but you can get the same sound out of all them with the knobs. I wouldn’t overthink it - Matt’s been using a DRV on his board to play MMHMM songs live for years, and it’s not like they used that specific pedal on the album. It’s a super cool pedal, but the cosmetic aspect is the selling point imo. The other DRVs sound just as great!
