Update on Ship posts: They're being moved to Sundays only.
Hello everyone, just giving an update on the Ship posts. We're going to keep allowing them but limit all new posts after today to Sundays only.
Your posts and comments within them still need to be civil. No aggressive, rude, or hateful language directed at writers, other commenters/posts, or characters. If you can't explain why you do or don't like a specific ship without being negative towards others (fictional or not) then you will eventually find your way in to a ban.
Thank you everyone who came in and discussed in the previous sticky post. Hopefully this helps declutter going forward.

Why do so many people dislike Tim for becoming Robin, but not Bruce for accepting him as Robin?
I've seen this as an argument that comes up everywhere. I keep on seeing people harp on how much they dislike Tim because he became Robin after Jason, and essentially forced himself on Bruce while Bruce was grieving.
And while I can understand disliking him on the basis of him replacing your favorite Robin, the distaste directed at him because of him taking on the Robin mantle himself is weird because he was a child. Bruce was an adult. Tim became Robin because Bruce let him become Robin. I don't know, I see so many fans treat Tim becoming Robin as intentionally malicious. I see them acting like he was a full grown man who was waiting gleefully to take the Robin mantle, and not a kid who saw his hero in need of a Robin.
Tim is treated more of an adult in this perceived dynamic than Bruce is, and that's really weird.
And it's weird, because by comparison, early Damian's fucked up deeds were always reduced to "well he's a kid, so we can't blame him" And to an extent, that's true. He was brainwashed by his abusive mother and grandfather and was actively loved to do better.
And there's a huge difference between Tim vs. Damian, but the point still stands.
Bruce Wayne let Tim be Robin. Tim was a child. The ability for him to be and stay a Robin was on Bruce. It's disingenuous to act otherwise.

Thoughts on Tim Drake in the new [Batman: Bad Seeds - Streets of Gotham] one shot? Spoiler
galleryWhile it was a short appearance, I actually kinda liked it. Tim was badass, had his personality, Bernard was there but he didn’t take up every single panel, and as a setup to Tim’s “imminent future” like Matt Fraction said I don’t necessarily mind it. I think it’s interesting enough to start Tim on a new path.
