Proposal: New Title for Academic Mall

Hello all,

Calling the broad path between the SAC Loop and Admin the "Academic Mall" just sounds bad, and we need an alternative, especially as this is one of the most transited parts of campus (connecting Melville, Frey, Psych, Humanities, Staller, ESS, etc.)

From here on out, I would like you all to refer to this strip of land as:

The Shaft

If you think about it, it makes sense, as it connects the SAC to the Wang.

Thanks.

It's true, many colleges have these cool names for places but Stony Brook just doesn't (well, calling student activity center the SAC doesn't really count)

Academic Mall doesn't sound cool? The name always reminded me of the National Mall in DC, which is undoubtedly a cool place to see.
