Hi!

Starting with Saturday’s Fresno State game, a bot will post a gameday thread for every Aztecs football and men’s basketball game (basketball joins once the season tips off). No mod has to remember to do it, which means nobody has to get yelled at for forgetting.

What you get:

• The thread goes up at 12:01 AM Pacific on game day and gets pinned
• Live score, clock, rankings, records, TV channel, and for football, who has the ball, down and distance, and red zone alerts
• A “Drives, plays & stats” button that opens play-by-play (newest first, with scores and turnovers highlighted), drive summaries, a scoring summary, and team stats
• Football threads link to the matching r/CFB game thread once it’s up
• Comments default to sorted by New, so you can follow the live reactions
• The thread unpins itself 48 hours after the final

The scoreboard updates live on new Reddit and the app, about every 20 seconds during games. Old Reddit gets a plain scores table with the latest plays, refreshed every 5 minutes. Not quite live, but we’re not trying to hammer a public data feed.

This is brand new, so if something looks off (wrong score, missing game, weird formatting), drop a comment or send us modmail and I'll have a look.

Go Aztecs.
