Discussion Struggling with Weird OCD: Need a Serious SSC Study Partner or Small Group (<10 Members) in Patna

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hello,

I am living in Patna and preparing for SSC CGL for the last 4 years. The biggest
reason I cannot find a study partner or connect with people is my weird OCD
symptoms. It makes it very difficult for me to feel familiar or comfortable with
anyone, even my own family members. Because of this, I have not gone home
since 2024 till now and have been completely isolated.

I am posting this with 100% honesty so only understanding, patient, and serious
aspirants reach out.

  1. My Profile & Background:

    - Exam: SSC CGL (4 years preparation)
    - Target / Timeline: 17 Oct 2026
    - Category: ST
    - Medium: Hindi
    - Age: 32+ (Eligibility: 27+ / ST relaxation up to 32+)
    - Past Record: 10th Board Math – 98 Marks

  2. My Current Mock Scores:

    - Reasoning (R): 40+ / 50 (Good grip)
    - English (E): 30+ / 50 (Manageable)
    - Maths (M): 20 / 50 (Stuck due to severe calculation errors)
    - General Awareness (G): 0 / 50 (Zero level, need daily routine to start)

  3. All Problems Affecting Me Right Now:

    - Weird OCD & Extreme Overthinking: This is my main battle. When I solve
simple maths problems (like mixtures, ratio, etc.), my brain gets stuck in a
loop. I do simple addition or subtraction wrong 3 to 4 times even though I
know the concept. My focus breaks down completely.
    - Extreme Isolation: Because of my weird OCD, I struggle to open up or talk
normally with people. I have been completely alone in Patna and have not
    visited home since 2024.
    - Malnutrition & Aging (32+): Poor diet, low physical energy, body weakness,
    and heavy brain fog.
    - Brain Rot & Lust: Mind gets easily distracted by phone, digital waste, and
sexual/lust urges that break daily study discipline.

  4. What Kind of Partner / Group I Need:

    - Location: Patna (Library or online via Telegram/WhatsApp).
    - Group Size: Strictly less than 10 members (a very small, quiet, and
    supportive group).
    - Requirement:
    - Someone who will not judge me for my OCD, pauses, or social awkwardness.
    - Daily mutual targets for Maths practice (to stop silly calculation
    mistakes).
    - Daily GK/GS reading targets.
    - Strict daily accountability to kill brain rot, lust, and isolation.

If you are a serious SSC aspirant in Patna who understands mental struggles and
wants to study together with honesty and discipline, please send me a direct
message (DM).

Question❓ SSC CGL aspirants, how many mock test platforms do you actually use?

SSC CGL aspirants, how many mock test platforms do you actually use?

I'm curious about how people here manage their mock test practice.

Do you stick to one platform, or use multiples(like Adda247 Testprime, Testbook, Oliveboard) for full-length mocks, Maths sectionals and PYQs.

Would be interesting to hear from people who've tried different platforms. Please share your opinion.

Question❓ SSC CGL prep vs B2b Sales

Hey guys, i'm 26 currently in BPO industry as an executive role, but now I want to switch my career.

Salary is fixed and I think, I can't work in BPO industry, there is no motivation here.

So right now I'm thinking to focus on high paying skills or a government job, I gave SSC CGL 2024, but in tier 1, my marks were 141, UR, cutoff was 151 around. I left the preparation because of financial problem, joined BPO as I didn't have a fancy course.

Now I'm stuck and confused between SSC CGL preparation or B2b sales..both are different career.

Any suggestion, would be helpful for me to take a decision, because I have 9-10 hours shift in BPO.

Strategy/Guidance🧑‍🏫 Parmar's 5.0 toppers batch

I wanted to buy all the subjects from the toppers batch. But is buying reasoning and English worth it or should I just go for GK and maths. Really need help for 2027 preparation.

Question❓ Which Parmar Maths batch should I buy for SSC CGL 2028?

I'm currently pursuing B.Tech and will graduate in 2027. I'm targeting SSC CGL 2028 as my serious attempt.

I want to start preparing for Maths now, alongside my college studies, and my goal is to complete the entire Maths syllabus by November 2027 so that I can focus on revision, PYQs and mock tests afterwards.

I'm confused between these two courses by Bhutesh Sir:

Parmar's Maths Toppers Batch — ₹999, 2-year validity.

Parmar's Maths Foundation VOD Batch — ₹999, 1-year validity.

SSC CGL GA Tier 2

Can someone help me differentiate GA topics for tier 1 and tier 2? Is it the same? For tier 1, I just prepared GA through mocks and its respective topics. Can I do the same with tier 2? Please lmk. Currently I have the testbook pass and they have study notes for GA.

I have given 3 tier-2 mocks in total. Scored around 330 in 2 mocks and 320 in another. GA section is so bad, best was 31/75 out of all 3 mocks. What can I do to improve in GA? TIA

Strategy/Guidance🧑‍🏫 Can I prepare for government exams while dealing with anxiety, depression and loneliness?

Hi everyone,

I'm struggling with anxiety, depression and loneliness, and I'm also preparing for government exams. My exam is starting from 4 November, so I'm worried because there isn't much time left.

Due to my mental health, I sometimes find it difficult to concentrate on studies, stay consistent and feel motivated. I want to clear the exam and build my career, but managing everything together feels challenging.

Has anyone here prepared for government exams while dealing with anxiety, depression or loneliness?

How did you manage your studies during difficult days?

How did you stay focused when you felt lonely or depressed?

Is it possible to make meaningful progress in the remaining time?
