Really liked how this one turned out. I enjoyed conceptualizing a Salamanders spin on a power Claw that has Nocturne Dragon claws/bones and in the pattern that has finger claws that are usually just found on the chaos marines! Had lots of fun making this, hope ya'll like it!

Hello sons of Vulkan, I've been thinking of joining your legion as my first foray into loyalist astartes and was wondering if the newly announced battleforce box was a good starting point. Are those units common in Salamander lists or would I be better off getting different units? It contains:

Captain In Terminator Armour

Chaplain

Redemptor Dreadnought

5 Terminators

5 Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs

10 Intercessors

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

Planning to painting one, though it won’t turn out as good as this, what are your opinion on a snow themed Salamander successor?

I am running a Gravis Captain with Aggressors, detachments are FFS and Gravis Siege Force.

I’m trying to decide whether I should use the Immolator Enhancement for more Flamer shots or War-tempered Artifice for 6x S10 AP-2 D3 power fist on the Captain.

Hello brothers, bought an Intercessor Squad a week ago and today due to work finally finished the first one.

Not really satisfied, I mean its alright ... just not really 100% ok with it, (kinda gives me dark angels vibes) green to dark for me. With that being said is there any way to fix it?

Heyo Salamanders. My son is building a 2000pt army and he has everything he needs for it. But I still want to give him a WH40k present. What would make a meaningful present for a player with Salamanders army? Maybe a specific unit to have in reserves? His army is Vulkan, Adrax, Infernus, Redemptor, Eradicators, Assault Intercessors, Bladeguard Veterans, Terminators with a Captain, Repulsor Executioner and Impulsor, Judiciar.

What unit could make sense as a great substitute/addon?

Also, I would like to build it and paint it for him. Would it be preferred to receive a gift built and painted or in a box is better?

Thank you all for the responses – definitely helpful and definitely no rambling. Main takeaways – Land Raider Redeemer and deep strike units. LRR is a totally new insight, special thanks for that. I don't think I have enough time to build and paint that beutiful beast, but a 3- or 5-man unit of deepstrikers – that is something I could do in 2 weeks or so before the actual date.

I'm making some bases for a reiver squad and I will end up gluing them directly to cork. I feel like they'll have a chance of pulling the cork out if I'm not careful. I've thought about getting some brass rod in their feet as I've seen that's kind of the go to for modeling. Should I use brass rod? And if so which thickness should I get?

Here is everything I own. I have really, REALLY hard time of fitting everything I want to make a high synergy 2000 Priority Assets list without lacking any role or enhancements.

I'm trying to fit of course standard stuf - Adrax blob in some form, redeemer, don't wish to field Vulkan alone, trying Impulor + erad combo (got one, they cost too much money for the plastic IMHO to get another), put some deepstrikers with meltas AKA Land Speeders for disruption, then of course Infernus as fire support and sexondary monkeys and scouts for early objective catch, then make some use of character and enhacement combos - of course at least Immolator is a must.

This is one giant puzzle, and I can't find a satisfying solution... so I'm coming here for help.

Howdy yall,
I’m trying to figure out who Vulkan should have as a bodyguard after this Company Heros change.

I was so used to running him with them in a land raider so I could drive him up, jump out, and then hold an objective.

I normally also follow the land raider with a 10 man brick of Infernus with a Librarian with Immolator

In debating using a 10 man Infernus (I just think this is too easy to kill without invulns from a Liberian), but maybe adding an apothecary with Immolator to jump out of a Repulsor or land raider to shoot, which would also add a shot to Vulkan.

I’m then thinking Bladeguard Veterans for the invuln. 3 wounds, 4+ invuln. The only the that makes this weird is I also run BGV with Adrax in the same Land Raider

Both of these also are significantly more points than Company Heros

Lastly im thinking maybe just some a brick of Assault Intercessors. 170 points for 10 but they get smoked by anything shooting them.

If yall have any other ideas please let me know. I’ve never ran him solo so that could be a possibility but I fear he’ll just get targeted or I can’t drive him up into enemy territory without getting cooked.

Maybe sternguard but I don’t know much about them?

I want my Salamanders to be 3rd Company Salamanders, but it is difficult to find the orange transfers. I love the look of the white since it pops so well on the black pauldrons, but painting them in quite difficult and doesnt look the way I want them to. Is there any advice to place I can just buy them? I do have Salamander upgraded stuff with raised decals but not enough for everyone I want.

Is it also okay to just..leave them white but add the 3 to the other pauldrons to show them as 3rd company?

Well 99% done just need to do alittle more basing to finish them off at some point. But onto the next squad maybe some eradicators.
