For those who are from English-speaking countries: how do you study English for the SAT? Throughout my education in Canada, I have never really learnt the reason 'why' a sentence is constructed a certain way... I'm going through Khan Academy's English modules, and they use a bunch of terminology I am unfamiliar with. Through doing main idea practice questions, I often have trouble picking which is the correct answer between two that I have narrowed down. Also have trouble with fill-in-the-blank questions. Any help would be much appreciated!

I want to get the National Merit Scholarship and I just got a 1500 on the SAT (740 R&W and 760 Math) but it kind of felt like a fluke because that test was so hard. I have my PSAT in 10 days and I just want to know how I can not choke on the test.

I usually score a 700-750 on math and then a 680-730 on r/w but on the last test I just took I got a 770 r/w and 700 on math. Does anyone know why this is, or how to fix it? I'm taking the SAT again on Wednesday and want to improve both scores.

I was going to make a oneprep account but I'm not sure the free plan is enough. Satquestionbank.org was another one I was considering but people said it was outdated or something like that. Can anyone help?

Guys, I just apply for the buddy4study scholarship for my nov SAT attempt and it's been 2 days since I applied and I haven't got any reply. What do I do? Should I email them or should I request them for a refund? I think I checked off all the boxes for the eligibility criteria, except for the 12th mark sheet because I haven't given my 12th board examinations. As anybody been granted this scholarship within the span of 2-5 days, I would really like to know this.

The SAT Oct was utterly a disaster to me and like it or not I have to retake. RW I'm fine with it but Maths is surprisingly low (guess I fucked up somewhere and I'm super stupid at geometry and trigonometry)
December is too soon and March is too late. The earliest I can start grinding is at the very end of Oct since I'm still stuck with school exams. I heard people say Oct RW is only less harder than Aug and that December is usually easy (I also heard that with 2025 Dec)
I'm so lost and tired and I don't wanna waste my family's money again and technically my future. I appreciate your help in advance.

Hey. So with the october sat scores announcement, I learned that my score is 1560. Well, I freaked out when I first saw it as I hadn't even come close to 770 in rw before.
However, it still feels unreal that I have gotten a super high score like this. I have good english skills but I don't think I could reproduce this score in a future test. In fact, I had 2 questions in rw module 1 and 4 in rw module 2 that I was uncertain. I don't know whether I had answered them correctly (I basically guessed 2 of them) or was just lucky and they were experimental but I feel like this score is too high for me. I would be grateful for even scoring a 730 but somehow the score is 770.
I know this sounds kinda weird and I feel like I am complaining for no reason but there are kids who are much smarter than me in my school who could not get a score equal or higher than mine. I just wanted to write to see if anyone else is feeling the same. Ig this is called the imposter syndrome.

I definitely didn’t remember more than 3-4 questions, but even then if I wasn’t able to reach the reason for that answer, I put in a wrong answer choice. So I don’t know if this is just my imposter syndrome saying it’s not a deserved score 😭
I got a 1560 on PT5, and last week I got a 1490 on PT4. I did definitely do some focus on my weak points and I definitely wasn’t expecting a score so high during this practice test.
But even for the September SAT, despite getting 1490-1540 on the PT’s I only got a 1410 on the real thing. I really really don’t want by prep to be for nothing again because this is last chance to get a 1500+.

I'm aiming for T20's in STEM so I really want to get the math score to 800. I really think I can do it because I made a dumb mistake on October which I realized right after submitting the test, leading me to get a 780. I was thinking of just taking November and hoping for 1560+. I'm a junior btw if that helps, also just assume I have great stats and solid ecs for the purpose of this post.

Whats the difference between a 1540 superscore and a 1540 normally?

Can people share how their feelings after the Oct test and their actual scores? I read a lot of people’s comments immediately after the test but how did that line up for you?
r/Sat • u/Sea-Explanation8723 • 6h ago
i’m trying to see how closely people’s practice scores matched their actual october SAT scores.
i really struggle with reading and writing, and want to see which bluebook practice test gives the most accurate results.
thank youu!!

For those of that scored above a 1550, how many attempts did it take you to get to that score and what were your scores like in your previous attempts. The october SAT was my 3rd attempt and my superscore is a 1520. I'm deciding whether its a good idea to register for November and take the SAT for the 4th time.

So basically i took the August SAT and got 1110 (490 in English and 620 in math). I must say that i really and really studied a lot, and the exam was really easy for english during module 1 i dont know how i ended up getting an easy Module 2 in English . I must admit i got a little mixed up in Module 2 math. so i took the September and ended up with a 1130 ( 490 in English and 640 in Math). The English was very hard in Module 1, so I expected Module 2 to be easier but just ended up getting Module 2 hard so I thought I might have solved Module 1 well, although I guessed so many questions. The math was EASy as hell; I don't know how i got this flopped in the end. So i took the OCTOBER EXAM and the Module 1 english was easy as hell again, but module 2 was mid. But the math was easy as hell, and i ended up with a 1140 480 in english and 660 on math) i swear i studied alot for this exam over a year, and i am not bad at math at all i solved alot of exams and i got 700+. engllish i used to get around 600+ but (I don't know if they College board are scamming me on something or if there is some crazy shit going around in the College Board, but I truly did study and put all my hard work. My parents want me to take December, but idk if i should take it because i got to start studying for my ACT 2 Bio and Chem because I am Egyptian and my exam is going to be in April and June 2027. i should start studying them by now. i keep thinking of taking the sat in August 2027 but I don't know what i should do i am pretty sure i will get 700+ in math sometime, but I don't know how i keep flopping in English, getting the same mark 3 times in a row. Should i take the December?

As an international student, I had always struggled with math ( idk why ). Finally, I took the october SAT and felt the math section was too easy, so i was scared i had gotten the easy 2nd module. Anyways, now I have a 1510 superscore and plan to get that up, but atleast this month, I'm finally over the SAT.

I need a 1450+ to get into the uni I want to. I am an international test taker. I was consistently getting around 1400 in my test scores, highest I went was a 1470 on test 10. I would really have been so happy with around a 1410~. I got a 1330 on the October SAT, a 30 point improvement compared to my august SAT. People say SAT doesn't matter and I know but I need it to get the college I want which will get me the job I want. It's so frustrating, I really hope my score got reduced as punishment for something and this is not my actual score. I will be giving again in November and really trying to push and maximize my score this time. Just one last gamble. At that point I will have wasted over 300 dollars of my parents' hard earned money over stupid tests. I wouldn't even be sad if I was getting a good score in the tests only to end up getting like a 1350 on the test. I would just accept my fate. All this time I have been trying to chase prestige. It feels like slamming your head into the wall for no reason, just pain, and you get nothing out of it. It just feels so unfair I have to compete with the same people who's parents are Ivy-Leaguers and my parents come from villages. Plus there is no time left. This is my final shot. This is it.
It just feels like this is my signal to lower the bar for what I want to do in life.

I’ve had a bad experience with khan before. I just feel like it overcomplicates simple equations, but I’m looking for a free way to study for the sat.
Anyone who took the sat suggest khan academy? If not, what should I use?
r/Sat • u/SunParking6102 • 7h ago
I am trying to break through to the 1330. The practice test I do better on but the test I do so bad.
r/Sat • u/Relevant-Sale689 • 7h ago
i have alread taken the sat and got a 1270 and my math skills are fine psat wise (720 last psat). its js rlly hard for me to focus on reading and its messing up my SI score so should i js stick to khan academy modules and call it a day
i have time to do more but as someone who barely studies for reading due to my horrible focus levels, idk what to do

Hi guys i really want to know how you guys study or what resources you guys use to study for the sat. I took the sat a couple times and my english section is actually horrendous. LIKE I RLLY NEED SOME BIG HELP... My oct math section this time is like one of my highest i've got before, i got a 740 this time. Is there any other way to improve math too? I know people be mentioning knowing regressions but lowkey tried to watch youtube but I still don't get it and I don't know when to use, so I had to solve it algebraically. For math if I don't use regressions, do I just spam practice problems? any recommendations 🥺
