Who's trying to compete with AngeTheGreat?

the AI. Unfortunately, no idea goes un-slopped at this point.

"If you can think of it, then there's AI of it"
Funky time to be alive, gotta say

Yes, I use AI coding tools, and the commits say so. It’s open source with the tests included, so judge it by whether it works and tell me where it doesn’t ^^

Not really competing. Engine Simulator is great and way ahead on sound right now. This takes a different route (a 1-D gas model of the whole exhaust) and the goal is to match real recordings. it doesn’t sound as good yet.

Not dismissing your AI usage, just a curious question, are you essentially doing a 1D fluid simulation? What kind of method does Engine Simulator take in comparison?

Can you explain how the sound generation process works?

He can't. It's just AI generated slop.

Dev here, it's not that complicated and most here are just haters for no reason. (Surprise surprise this is Reddit)

You just go on Claude and ask it to do it for you, then it does it and that's it! hope this helps xoxo

At least pipes doesn't shake like in someone other's attempt
But anyway, where is source code or whatever?

That's actually pretty great, especially for game devs and animators. I've seen similar albeit more crude methods being used in the past. How many different kinds can it simulate? Diesels? Two strokes? Motorcycles?

Thanks for your upvotes, the project is EngineLab on github if you want to check it out!
