Maybe that's what you perceive from within the US and looking on reddit. But in actuality we have all been saying how well you have been doing and how impressed we have been with your determination. I actually put a bet on you guys.
I was watching ITV commentary and they were all saying how sorry they were for the US team that trump has jaded all of the good work they had been doing and how he has ruined their world Cup journey.
Honestly we were not all rooting for you to lose until that one phone call.
Some non-Americans on here are really trying to gaslight people. A lot of people from other countries have been cheering for the downfall of the U.S. team ever since the tournament started. The Trump incident didn’t really change anything. Celebrating a team losing is just performative activism. I am not sure how it changes anything when FIFA is still corrupt and has been for years. Anyway enjoy your win.

The trump incident changed everything, it really did. We celebrated you losing after that point because nobody likes cheaters prospering and that's how we saw it. I'm sure you can relate in some way to that. You're right fifa is still corrupt, but small victories right?
