Kind of dumb since flagship android phones are directly on par with iPhone prices, and you can get a brand new carrier-locked iPhone from Cricket as low as $400 lol. Or a used older model for even less.

Lots of "poors" have iPhones. Apple has really done a number on people with their marketing.

Yes but that's thinking with "logic", not "hypebeast auramogging". Facts don't matter if ur bubbles are greeeeen ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ it's #GivingIck, it's a ๐Ÿšฉ

I still know people who only get Mac computers because "they never get viruses" and when they die from, surprise, a virus, they buy another full price desktop.

They are the embodiment of The Consoomer.

$200 Motorola lasted me 3 years. What are people doing other than apps, music, gps, and txt/ calls that require a $1000 and up phone? It is just brand chasing.

When I travel internationally I use a $200 android phone. There is a noticeable difference in the speed of the phone compared to my Pro Max. I have an S24 from my prior job and itโ€™s a noticeable difference between a $200 phone.

Yea that makes sense but most people are not traveling internationally consistently and you would be an outlier. I am not arguing that the more expensive phone performs better but there is a point of diminishing return depending on application. Anything over a few hundred for most people to doom scroll is a waste.

I was just stating thatโ€™s the reason I use a cheaper phone frequently.

But overall itโ€™s a very different experience. Iโ€™m not saying people need the highest end phone. But itโ€™s enough of a difference itโ€™s a priority for me to upgrade every 2-3 years.

My bad misread your previous but I am picking up what your putting down now. Yea I get it, I usually buy my wife the best new apple bs every other year and I just get whatever Motorola has cheep because I have disposable income but for her use it is a waste. Some people truly use phones for work or hobbies and being on something constantly depending on the application you want the best and pay the premium. For most it is a waste.
