I know it's not right to say this but it's the main reason kids today run riot and are not afraid of no one. Ass whuupins are gone

Yes it is factually incorrect to say that. Beaten kids show greatly increased levels of misbehaviour.

Bullshit. Only reason I didn’t fuck around in school was because I feared my dad. He didn’t beat me, but I always knew it was a possibility. My older brother fucked around, and I saw what my dad did to him. I didn’t want any part of that.

So basically you were afraid of the retributive abuse you would have faced?

Firstly, beatings and generally feeling unsafe in your home statistically causes more misbehaviour. Along with a whole list other things you wouldn’t want as a parent, like worse grades, lower happiness, worse future career, and so on.

Secondly, do you genuinely think this is an effective way to teach your kids respect and proper behaviour? Do you plan on beating the shit out of one of your kids to get them to fall in line?

If so, you are not only a disgusting person that wants to commit a crime, but you are hard-headed, stubborn, and too stupid to do a Google search to see the proper way to be a parent.

Too many idiots in this world. You have a device that can search up anything. You can literally type two words on your phone and learn you are completely wrong. Yet somehow we have these global warming deniers, anti vaxxers, and now I’m discovering the sheer number of idiotic child abusers. It’s the first thing you see when you google it. Tons and tons of credible, worldwide organizations trying everything they can to tell you to not abuse your kid. Yet you and the sick demented people in this comment section are too stupid and stubborn to use any amount of reasoning, research or basic human decency to think otherwise.

Disgusting, all of you. If you are reading this and feel offended because you like beating your kid to get them to behave, stop immediately, go to Google, and find one of the 100s of resources explaining what you can do instead to effectively teach your kid without abusing them.

There is a difference between discipline and beaten

Spanking is not permanent but it associates bad behavior with accountability and immediate consequences. And they learn and it rarely happens again, they listen to you and will respect your authority when you tell don’t run away from me in a busy mall, or they might get a spanking, because we dont want them to get kidnapped.

Kids who are not disciplined correctly, become unruly adults that will be disciplined by society and their life choices if you don’t do it when their young

They become entitled brats who think they can get away with anything they want because they don’t fear of any repercussions.

Even a little bit of physical abuse, or as you call it “discipline”, causes behavioural issues. I don’t know why you people think it’s ok to hit a kid. Do you think it’s ok to “discipline” your wife? Do you think your kids are subhuman?

Edit: I even hate that I’m saying beating your kids is bad because it causes misbehaviour. It’s true that by beating your kids you do the opposite of what you want, but above all else they are people.

There's a huge difference between beaten and disciplined. I was being sarcastic to a certain degree. Disciplining children and teens has now almost gone out the window

What are you talking about? Levels of teenage crime are way down. Those kids raised by boomers were the same generation having open gang warfare in the streets in the 80s and 90s.
