What about the girl that leveraged her looks into millions of dollars is stupid to you?

54

u/Sensitive_nob 12h ago

The way people talk about Sidney reminds me a lot of early 2000s Paris Hilton. Also called a "dumb blonde barbie" and she took advantage of her image.

-9

u/LurcherLong 9h ago

And then we all found out that Paris was actually playing a character… kind of funny, but I don’t think Sidney is doing the same thing.

u/mattchewy43 6h ago

She's literally an actress.

-6

u/LurcherLong 6h ago

The point went over your head

u/BuildAnything4 13h ago

There's plenty of girls that have leveraged their looks into millions that aren't smart. You just think this one is because you like her politics.

61

u/TheDigimonFan 13h ago

There's also plenty of 9s and 10s walking around who work as cashiers because they aren't smart enough or willing to do the work to leverage their looks to make more money.

Walk around any major city, you'll see people more attractive than most celebrities. Being beautiful or handsome doesn't guarantee you anything, it just makes life a bit more easy, but people fail on easy difficulty all the time.

10

u/dethbymagix51 8h ago

I only hate her for her politics. I don't think she's a good actress, but neither am I. If she's MAGA, she can fuck the hell off.

u/NoodlesKaboodles 12h ago

luck and or nepotism isn't "do the work" that you want to believe it is

11

u/THE_AWESOM-O_4000 9h ago

Sydney Sweeney is not a nepo-baby.

"Being pretty and for sale to the highest bidder is exhausting! Such hard work..."

2

u/TheDigimonFan 5h ago

There are a lot of pretty people willing to be for sale, only a few actually get rich and famous. It isn't as simple as just showing off some cleavage. If it was, everyone would do it. There's a lot of women with DD+ cleavages out there.

And I think I'm with many people on this, Sweeney isn't that hot, I personally don't even care for her. But she was willing to eat some shit as a low level actress in hollywood and caught a break. But, she there. You can't win the lottery if you don't buy tickets.

I am not saying she's a good person. You can be smart or a hardworker and be a shitty person or have shitty views. But to say she was just some bimbo who got famous off of her looks overnight is a bit disingenuous.

u/THE_AWESOM-O_4000 3h ago

A) Most of us work for the highest bidder. We're just not as pretty lol. B) The comment you made is very misogynistic. Please have some introspection before judging women just because they're pretty again.

"smart"? Yeah, that's what we call prostitutes... /s

24

u/BobbyTables829 12h ago

Call girls can be smart too yo. Sex work is just a job.

5

u/fuckmahleif 12h ago

she’s got a couple of great points alright

7

u/SchwizzySchwas94 13h ago

Wow did you stretch before making that leap?

2

u/BuildAnything4 13h ago edited 13h ago

no stretching necessary. It's pretty obvious. Or do you seriously think every single celebrity actor/musician/reality tv star/model must be smart?

-8

u/SchwizzySchwas94 12h ago

No but most of the ones that aren’t fizzle out long before where she’s made it. She makes money decisions. She doesn’t sit on Reddit and make incorrect assessments of other people’s political affiliations based off of nothing, so she’s at least that smart.

13

u/BuildAnything4 12h ago

If they're celebrities, then they didn't fizzle out before they made it, is the point. The Kardashians are 100 times more successful and wealthy than her. Are they 100 times as smart?

Everyone makes money decisions, even the people on reddit that make you mad because they correctly deduce your political affiliations.

-3

u/SchwizzySchwas94 12h ago

Again you were incorrect but hey I guess doubling down is the new bar for intelligence.

11

u/BuildAnything4 12h ago

I thought it was money?

1

u/Suspicious_synth 3h ago

Are you saying Sydney Sweeney is not maga? She threw a maga themed party for her mom and is a registered Republican. Read something dummy

1

u/SchwizzySchwas94 3h ago

No I’m saying I’m not. Read something dummy.

1

u/Gatoray_ 13h ago

Bothers me.... Its away

0

u/Gatoray_ 13h ago

Why not ahot to bother me

0

u/Matsisuu 12h ago

We don't even know her politics.

1

u/Inf1e 12h ago

They are smart enough to make cash through looks, if you think it's simple enough you can try it yourself.

Of course it's more complicated, but pics and videos sell for fair market price.

-2

u/MisterBelrox 13h ago

What are her politics?

0

u/Global_Character7875 11h ago

Does she even get political? Usually just does advertisements and then the lunatic left looses their minds over nothing. An add for jeans somehow was nazi propaganda.

2

u/Chickabbbbb 11h ago edited 4h ago

That was all manufactured. Look up the term "angertainment" - it's to manufacture outrage.

It's part of the advertising campaign to cause controversy. It's bots and trolls who stirred that up. I hang out with a lot of lefties and I can promise you, not one of them cares about the jeans/genes thing.

Don't get me wrong, lots of people were successfully rage baited. But it wasn't a bunch of "lefties" that started it.

0

u/TheBeanofBeans3 13h ago

Comically your second sentence works just as well reversed

-1

u/CyberChudzilla 8h ago

What is her politics? Don't forget to provide proof.

45

u/BiggieBigs34 10h ago

Lmao, one of the worst side effects of capitalism is making some people believe that being able to make money is a representation of intelligence. It’s not, there’s a lot of stupid people who have money, power, and fame.

27

u/MrAngrySadHappyFace 10h ago

The man in the the white house itself is a perfect example.

7

u/HeroHunt12 9h ago

The man in the White House has only lost the money his father made for him, he’s never made any money

10

u/kateastrophic 9h ago

That was true until he became President— he has made plenty of money selling off American democracy and security.

9

u/BiscuitsTheory 8h ago

Was true, not true any more. In the last two years he's become even wealthier than he used to pretend to be and he's still going. Way wealthier than his dad now.

12

u/Humble-Resolution-62 10h ago

I don’t think she is stupid.

Underestimate people at your peril. You didn’t answer the question either.

If you think she’s stupid make an argument for that. You didn’t.

1

u/Historical-Owl-5976 31m ago

Unfortunately when people can't make a coherent argument, they resort to abuse, sign of the times...

-2

u/Disastrous_Ticket815 8h ago

Lmao what peril, am I going to be caught in a deadly battle of wits with Sydney Sweeney?

6

u/Humble-Resolution-62 8h ago

People in general. Her specifically in context or the discussion.

It behooves one not to write people off, as the person I replied to did.

-8

u/BiggieBigs34 9h ago edited 9h ago

I didn’t claim she was stupid nor was I trying to, obviously.

Don’t argue about things that aren’t there unless you want a quick trip to a psychiatrist.

Learn how to read, and don’t make assumptions if you want to argue with people.

Sadly, this is reinforced in a lot of churches.  Prosperity Doctrine is ruining the country.

1

u/Circle_Breaker 8h ago

Yeah but why would you assume she's stupid?

7

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 12h ago

Melania isn't that smart. Her handlers might have been.

3

u/flabeachbum 10h ago

I’m not questioning any single person’s intelligence, but you literally don’t need any at all to leverage your looks. You don’t even need a high school education. With a good agent, you don’t even need your own marketing skills. Luck and work ethic goes a long way though

0

u/Gatoray_ 13h ago

The last Biden gal certainly falil.... what was her name?

1

u/SchwizzySchwas94 12h ago

I think you already said it, Falil.

-4

u/Gatoray_ 12h ago

Right, over left.... nit sure Biflden can handle that
