There's also plenty of 9s and 10s walking around who work as cashiers because they aren't smart enough or willing to do the work to leverage their looks to make more money.
Walk around any major city, you'll see people more attractive than most celebrities. Being beautiful or handsome doesn't guarantee you anything, it just makes life a bit more easy, but people fail on easy difficulty all the time.
I’m not questioning any single person’s intelligence, but you literally don’t need any at all to leverage your looks. You don’t even need a high school education. With a good agent, you don’t even need your own marketing skills. Luck and work ethic goes a long way though
Lmao, one of the worst side effects of capitalism is making some people believe that being able to make money is a representation of intelligence. It’s not, there’s a lot of stupid people who have money, power, and fame.
She will not be afraid of cameras and speaking in public. As I read on wikipedia, she's not dumb either. I don't know what other qualifications are necessary for being a press secretary. My only information source is West Wing.

There are likely certain activities that goes on behind the scenes in order to acquire this job and i just dont see her being desperate enough for the position.

Classic 80/20 rule in swing - majority of people are centrists or close to. As it should be. Political parties will never line up with people’s beliefs 100%
The Sweeney family is very vocally right wing and Trump supporters. The internet's hate for her originally started when her family hosted a Trump-themed party a handful of years ago and she refused to apologize.
She's literally never voiced a political opinion anywhere. Sweeney has publicly stated that she considers herself a non-political person focused on her work in the arts. In other words, the rest of the internet trying to drag her into this political crap are all being a bunch of incel jackasses that can't possibly comprehend someone just living their life and staying out of it. "How dare you not pick a side and dump all your social capital into that".
Now, she is technically a registered republican, but that doesn't really mean anything. It's actually normal for up to 10% of registered republicans to vote for the democratic candidate, and a lot of people just stick with the politics of their parents. Her parents are known MAGA supporters, but that doesn't mean she is. Hell my mom is a hardcore MAGA supporter, and I think Trump is a complete dumpster fire. In fact, Sydney avoids politics entirely probably because she's too busy working and enjoying her life. I don't agree with dragging people into politics when they seem to want nothing to do with it.
Gonna be real the fact she "doesn't really care about politics" is partly why they love her because that's pro status quo and makes her malleable to them as a blank slate to sexualize
She was in fully nude advertisment(but covered up by various means) and there was some outrage about the advertisement from Karens. Were the Karen's leftist? Idk.
