Practical stuff and something to dream about. I mean we flew to the moon, send probes that reached the end of the solar system and whatnot to get an idea what is possible... even if it not always made sense.
Not gonna argue that we are perfect in any way. But its nice to see, that someone is sometimes trying. And those caps help, even if you export your waste. The issue it solves, is having seperate caps getting outside waste collection system and polluting that way. Its easy to clean whole bottle. But finding cap somewhere in grass gets annoying and hard to do systematicly
yeah, am all for the attached caps, since i personaly just remove them if it starts to annoy(since i dont carry bottles outide anyways, the caps go on when bottle is empty anyways, at least for me)
In the article it says the amount of bottles found are still the same but less lose caps according to one Research (the other couldnt gather enough evidence). Personaly i cant remember ever finding a lot of lose plastic caps only those openers from cans or Beer caps and cigarettes of course
I found it very beneficial when going on long bicycle trips. And in cases where I hate it, I can still rip it off.
Many many moons ago, they did the same with beverage cans. There was a time when you ripped open a coke can and not like push down like it is nowadays. Same environmental idea behind it.
I didn't realize that losing the cap to plastic bottles was such a scourge on society that "solving" that problem would warrant a reddit post comparing it against actual technological advances
It's more about showcasing SpaceX tech and ultimately reducing the Delta-V required to get into LEO and beyond, but I suspect that all of what I just typed is lost on reddit because "Elon bad"

Guess it needs both.
