One is illegal, highly unsafe and will never be used in reality, besides milking investors out of even more money and the other one reduces waste

How exactly does it “reduce” waste. The bottle is still plastic. The cap is still there. Now there’s a bit more plastic being used per bottle. Yay.

Plastic is not waste here, it's a recyclable resource. The issue has been that bottle caps wouldn't get recycled with the bottles. Now they do.

The main issue isn't lack of recycling, but waste in the environment.

You are probably right. I used the word waste as in wasted, but what this solves is trash. Doesn't really matter which bin it goes in for this to work.

Yeah except it’s 2 different plastic types that have to be separated before any recycling is done. Performative bullshit. Meanwhile Europe is infested with roaches that need to be exterminated.

Separating the 2 materials is rather easy and already done in recycling plants. The bottle gets shredded and the chunks separated. The difference is that the cap doesn't get into the environment.

The separation gets done at recycling centers, not by the people throwing the bottle away

Yes they are different plastics but the caps can easily be lost and not accounted for if not connected. The 2 types of plastic are easily seperated when recycling because they make it connected. The only performative bullshit is you.

It also makes it easy to keep track of the lid. Very useful when you're walking around a lot.

Yeah. Because before this lids were just popping off and being lost everywhere

Yes. Bottle lids were the one of the most common types of plastic found washed up on beach shores. They did in fact get lost everywhere, and the legislation was effective in reducing plastic waste in the environment.

We have the ability to separate different plastics, it's based on what we call technology here.

Plastic is not waste here, it's a recyclable resource

Thats a nice belief youve got there. Sure would be a shame if you were being lied to.

Would be a shame, yes. Recycling bottles and cans is a point of pride. Are you from a country that doesn't recycle? What's the rationale behind that?
