Not about the laughing stock - we surely are that. 😞

But the "elected by the people" part - many of us do not believe this is true.

God, Americans just cannot accept responsibility for anything can they? They can't accept that someone like Donald Trump is exactly what the rest of the world expected them to elect eventually

He perfectly encapsulates the United states. Arrogant, rude, bloated, aggressive, ignorant, avaricious, thin skinned and vain.

The mental gymnastics of everything from " well not all of us voted for him" to " the election must have been stolen" to " oh well he's obviously a Russian agent" to " just have to get through two more years and things will go back to "normal" "

I did not vote for him. I donated to the opponents of him and his cronies. I do not accept responsibility for this. Respectfully, fuck off. This shit is happening around the globe and if _your_ country was being bombarded with propaganda constantly, you might be offended if someone said this about you, too. Money has corrupted our government and its coming for your government too. If you think it can't happen where you are, ask the UK, or Hungary or Italy. Talk to some Germans right now about the AfD and the fear of their rising popularity. Canada was about to make a hard right until Trump said the quiet part out loud in time for Canada to figure it out. Even still, there's a separatist movement in Alberta. Multiple countries in South America have been dealing with this corruption for years. You can go on and on.

Our presidents aren’t elected by popular vote which we need to fix asap. The electoral college needs to be abolished. Red states with few people have WAY too much say.
