They weren't even able to release the Roadster 2 and that was a normal electric car. Even if we say that this is only a showpiece, the real one won't have that, the fact still stands that they have been promising the Roadster 2 since 2017 and now they present a completly new model with a different design without ever building the previous one.

youve got super valid points but, the performance promised in the roadster 2, was delivered 6 years ago on the model s plaid. so like who really cares? are you really mad they didnt charge you twice as much for the 2 door version?

and did you buy a model s plaid? or put the 50k deposit on a roadster 2? because if not the whole point is moot youre just hunting for a complaint.

If you wanted a Roadster why would you care for a sedan just because it has the same power. It's just in line with promising things or technologies for years and then just moving on to the next thing and acting like they didn't hype you up for something about the last decade.

thats all fine and true. but youre moving farther and farther from the point of the post, and my comment. the debate was "was this AI or not". not "is this possible or not".

i said very clearly my opinion itll never be production. and noone on earth is gonna have one in 2028 either. he's of course, lying, there. but it *definitely* can exist, and theres no reason to think it doesnt. *within this demonstrative / prototype setting*

i have zero doubt in my mind that elon will fail to deliver on this project like he has the majority of others.

Saying a real car did that is also debatable. People who have a better grip on physics than me have already concluded that for this stunt that thing has to be basically stripped empty and be one giant tank for the compressed gas. At that point that's not actually a car anymore.
