I hope this isn't real, because this is the last thing people need to be driving

how crazy would it be for a public company like Tesla to showcase something that isn’t real

In reference to a Tesla Roadster too, of which the 2017 version is maybe one of the most egregious modern examples of false advertising

How's that hyperloop going?

2

u/Snakend 7h ago

Tesla never had any thing to do with Hyperloop. Hyperloop was a white paper released by Elon Musk and Elon released the patents for open source.

Sure. Elon's company had nothing to do with Elon or his company.

Why hasn't ICE sent him to the Congo for working on his student visa yet?

Hyperloop is not an elon company.

Oh, sorry, "The Boring Company," then.

Satisfied, pedant?

Lol. The concept of legal ownership being dismissed as pedantry.

Pedantry is the entire thing when it comes to law.

The boring company has absolutely nothing to do with Hyperloop.

Like the previous "We, Robot" product demo thing, which was supposedly involved a bunch of autonomous robots doing tasks. Later it turned out they were all remote-piloted by people. Musk has some history faking tech achievements to boost his stock price, or for laughs or whatever the reason is.

Even crazier that it's the second time they've been caught doing it. The "Tesla Optimus humanoid robot" was supposed to be AI operated but walked via onboard sensors and programming and teleoperated for the complex things like playing rock paper scissors, serving drinks and talking. There was no AI.

Why? Just pay off Trump and there’s no consequences because the dumbest people in history elected the most corrupt person in history.

> In 2020, Milton resigned as executive chairman of Nikola following regulatory inquiries.[3][4] In 2022, he was found guilty of securities and wire fraud. He was sentenced to four years in prison, a US$1 million fine and $168 million in restitution.[5][6][7]
Milton and his wife donated more than $3.2 million to Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign and figures in Trump's orbit.[8] In March 2025, he was given a full pardon by President Donald Trump.[9][10] As a result of the pardon, Milton will not need to compensate Nikola shareholders, who lost tens of millions of dollars.[11] In September 2025, the SEC under the second Donald Trump administrationdropped civil enforcement cases against Milton. As a consequence, Milton will not have to pay any civil penalties or face job restrictions, allowing him to work in security-related positions.[12]
